About this mod

This is a modification that I made to the existing DandD_Portable_Hole.esp that I downloaded a long time ago. The original readme file for that version of the plugin is below. I\'ve make 3 changes and 8 additions.

Permissions and credits
Most of the changes I made were to make
it a bit less of a "cheat". Most of the additions I made are "cheat powerups",
but they each cost a great deal of gold. You need to sell a heck of a lot of
loot to be able to afford any of them, so, in my opinion, if you've done that
much work, and amassed that much of a fortune, then you're entitled to some
great powerups.

Changes:
--------

1. You now cannot open the hole when enemies are nearby.

After casting the spell that makes the portal appear, but before activating
the portal, you must open the Wait menu first (because you can't wait if enemies
are nearby). If you forget, it will prompt you. Once you open the wait menu,
look to the top of the screen for the message "You may now enter your portable hole".
Then cancel the Wait menu and activate the portal as usual.

2. The hole is now guarded by the Daedra Prince Tomtomhotep, and when he gets
hungry, he must be fed. He only eats apples.

Ok, there's no actual Daedra in the hole, I'm just being cute -- but here's how this
change works. You need to keep some apples in your inventory, because once per day,
one apple will be removed from your inventory when you enter the hole. (to feed
tomtomhotep). If you have no apples in your inventory and you haven't been in your
hole since the previous day, then you won't be allowed into your hole until you get
an apple. Keeping apples in a chest inside your hole will not work. Tomtomhotep
won't look in your storage chests, just in your personal inventory, so keep your
apples with you, don't leave them all in your hole.

If it's been a day since tomtomhotep was fed, and you don't have an apple on you,
you won't even be able to cast the lesser power that summons the portable hole.

3. I made the hole a LOT bigger. There's now 15 storage chests in there, instead
of 2. That way, you can sort out all your stuff alot better.

Additions:
----------

1. I added 4 teleporter pads to the hole.

The first three are really only useful if you also have the 3 plugins that came
with the Knights of the Nine expansion, namely DLCFrostcrag.esp (Frostcrag Spire),
DLCThievesDen.esp (Dunbarrow Cove), and DLCVileLair.esp (Deepscorn Hollow). These
are "stronghold" plugins, which means they give you a free house/stronghold.

These 3 pads, which are labeled, transport you close to each of the 3 strongholds,
so you don't have to walk (or fast-travel) there. (Fast-traveling takes game-time,
teleporting does not. I personally don't like to fast-travel for that reason.)
Also, Frostcrag spire itself has teleporter pads to teleport you to any city's
mages guild, so if you have that plugin installed too, you can get to any city
from your hole, with just 2 teleports.

The fourth pad is the recall pad for the multiple mark and recall, explained next.

2. Multiple Mark / Recall

Calindil in the Mystic Emporium (Market District, Imperial City), now sells
scrolls of "Mark 1", "Mark 2", and "Mark 3". This allows you to mark any three
places you want (wherever you are standing when you cast the scroll), and recall
back to that place any number of times. (The Mark never wears off, you just need
another scroll if you want to change the place that's marked.) The recall pad
is in your portable hole, so you have to go into it to recall. That way, you
can't use recall to get away from enemies! The mark scrolls cost 5000 gold each.

The recall pad will prompt you as to where you want to recall to ("one", "two", or "three").

3. Healthy Shield

Calindil also now sells "Healthy Shields". These are Daedric Shields that are
enchanted with Fortify Health 400 pts, Restore Health 1 pt (that's per second),
and Shield 30%. Remember, it's apparel, so it's constant effect. The shields
cost 125,000 gold each.

4. Magicka Unlimika scrolls

Calindil also now sells scrolls of "Magicka Unlimika", which give you practically
unlimited magicka for 21600 seconds (6 hours of real-life time). The scrolls are
37,500 gold each. The scroll Fortifies Magicka by 320 pts and Restores Magicka
by 62 pts (that's per second) for that duration. Hint: get or make a really good
healing spell and a really powerful destruction spell.

5. Gem of Empowerment

Calindil also now sells rings called "Gem of Empowerment". They cost 55,000 gold
each, and are an alternative to using the Magicka Unlimika scrolls. Those scrolls
and these rings cannot be used at the same time (the game won't let you).

Equiping the Gem of Empowerment adds 3 spells to your list of lesser powers:
(a) Max-Fortify Magicka - Fortify Magicka 400 pts for 3600 seconds (1 hour).
(b) Maximize Health - Restore Health 400 pts for 2 seconds (800 pts total).
(c) Maximize Magicka - Restore Magicka 400 pts for 2 sec (800 pts total).

All three spells take 0 magicka to cast. Spells (b) and (c) can each be cast
500 times, then that spell is deleted from your lesser powers. Spell (a) can
be cast 5 times, then it is removed from your lesser powers.

Once the Gem of Empowerment ring is equipped, it can NOT be unequipped until
you have used all 3 spells the maximum amount of times. Then the ring is
"used up" and it is automatically deleted from your inventory.

Also, you cannot equip more than one Gem of Empowerment ring at the same time.

6. Reminder Glass

I placed an Hourglass in the portable hole, on the shelf in the back. When you
activate it you can set a reminder for yourself, or check on the reminders that
are currently set. The inspiration for this was because there are certain things
in the game that you get to do once a week or once a month, but the game doesn't
remind you when that time comes. So this Reminder Glass will! Most of those
things are associated with finishing a quest line, like speaking to the Night
Mother once per week after you complete the Dark Brotherhood quest line.

It also lets you set a generic un-named reminder for anything you want.

7. Breadcrumb candles

Have you ever been lost in a dungeon and wished you could drop a line of
breadcrumbs to lead you back the way you came?

Well, Calindil also now sells 5 new spells that each let you drop a candle of
a different color (Blue, Green, Magenta, Orange, and Red) at your feet. The
spells each cost 5 magicka to cast and there's no limit to how many candles you
can drop, or where you can drop them (wherever you can stand). Each candle stays
on the ground for 2 days, then the game automatically deletes it from the world,
to prevent savegame bloat.

8. Blessings of ... upon ye!

I added 9 quests that automatically start the first time you load a game after
installing this plugin. Each quest, when selected as your active quest, puts
quest targets on the Wayshrines of one of the Nine Divines, so you can find
the Wayshrines easier. (Each quest corresponds to one of the Divines.)

These quests cannot be completed and forever remain in your current quests.

NOTE:
-------------------
This plugin requires the Oblivion Script Extender
(OBSE) version v0020 or higher. You can download this
for free from: http://obse.silverlock.org/

This plugin will not function if the OBSE is not
installed.

Special thanks to the original author of the plugin, who's original

D&D Portable HOle v1.1

by DrChi

Files:
DandD_Portable_Hole.esp----Goes in your Oblivion/Data/ folder
DandD_Portable_Hole_readme.txt----Goes into garbage if you want, I wholeheartedly won't even mind!

A Portable Hole is now available for purchase at
Rindir's Staffs in the Imperial City!

Just purchase the amulet, which is the 'container'
for the hole itself. When equipped, you gain the
lesser power 'Portable Hole'. Use this power to
summon the entrance to the hole, and step inside
this wonderful little bit of player owned space!
As described by the D&D DM Guide, this little hole
is about 6' wide and 10' deep. It is fully outfitted
and come with all the accoutrements one would expect
in a portable hole! And best of all, you get to
decorate it however you want!

A special thanks goes out to Symbiode, for his
DimensionalPocketOfEther mod, and his great tutorial
posted on the official forums! For this is my first
attempt at making a mod for any game at all, and
without his help and inspiration i'd have never
got it to work!

Release Notes:
1.0 ----Probly first and last release, however, if
anyone finds a bug, let me know!
1.1 ----OOPS!!! Fixed an issue where the chests were
respawning their empty state and removing my items
from the game!
