I have Java installed, and I downloaded the mod and put it in the right folder?? (not sure if I misread and if folder matters at all) But I just don't know how to get the .jar file to do the thing. If there is some kind of tutorial, or step by step I would really appreciate the help. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a solid half hour and I'm just not making any progress.
Make a new folder, extract files in it, copy pictures in that folder and run the png or jpg .jar file Make sure you have Java runtime environment installed
Not working. :( On Steam > View > Screenshots, and Oblivion is not available in the dropdown menu, therefore no screenshots. Unable to locate where Oblivion screenshots are saved.
Screenshots saved by Steam (F12 button) are different to screenshots saved by Bethesda games (PrintScreen button).
If you're using PrintScreen, then you get BMPs in the game's installation directory. These tend to be corrupt, and that's what this tool resolves.
If you're using F12, then the screenshots go into your Steam library. If that's not happening, then you need to troubleshoot the Steam overlay: make sure it's turned on, and isn't being affected by third party programs (security suites, game accelerators, etc).
Does the program window appear? If so, do any errors appear within it?
If the window appears very briefly and then closes without anything happening, trying moving the tool and your screenshots to a different folder, say on your desktop.
Aside from the Screenshots folder appearing, does anything else happen?
With v3 and earlier, you should see a window with the tool's logged actions. If all it says is "Press any key to continue" then that indicates that it didn't find any images within its directory (you're not extracting to a sub-folder are you?). If it says anything else, then providing those details would be helpful.
It's furthermore looking for BMP files which contain the term "screenshot" within their title, so if they've been renamed, then that'd also cause it to miss them.

I'd suggest you write JAR files not BAT commands, since your source code is visible.
