About this mod

High-resolution landscape LOD meshes and normal maps with faked mountain shadows

Permissions and credits
I. Description

This mod contains two different parts:

1.) High-resolution landscape LOD meshes for Nehrim. Not much to say here. They are much more precise as the ones from the CS. But might need a little bit more GPU resources.

2.) The normal maps which are included use the fake shadows technique (similar as I made for Tamriel). Because Nehrim is much more mountainous as Tamriel, the effect is more drastic. It is a play with light and darkness: the "normal" normal maps are only based on local information, which means that there can be brightness, although physically the sun is not reaching this points. My "faked" normal maps take into account the surrounding mountains.

I call this "beta" version, because there can be still small inaccuracies here and there in the meshes, but because I just started the game and don't want to be spoiled by myself, I cannot instantly run around and check it.

II. Installation

Open the archive and drop the content into your <nehrim>\Data folder. Make a backup of the meshes\landscape\lod and textures\landscapelod\generated folders before.<br><br>III.
