    Back playing with oblivion again because I'm bored and I decided to give this tool a go again. I'm getting a bad allocation message when I run the meshes. Doesn't happen with the colour maps and I haven't tried the normal maps yet. I've got the whole world space enabled with Under the sign of the dragon landscapes and valenwood improved and elsywr and another mod to mesh them to under the sign of the dragon and I can only run this tool in 32bits because i'm using mod organiser. If you have any ideas I'd really appreciate it although i'm not holding my breath seeing as how the last comment on this thread was made over a year ago

    Bad allocation is caused by tamriel.esp. I'd say its a memory problem.

    Hi! Thx a lot for this great tool! it has been a lot of help recently..now i actually started using it myself..with a few problems

    when i start extracting a heightmap it tells me : there ist no data about this worldspace in the active plugin list..but then i filled the worldspace list from those active plugins by using the fillbutton. so all worldspaces are from of plugins i want to create heightmaps with..how come it tells me there is no data ?

    well i posted about 10 days ago and no response. I've managed to get oscape working with skyrim which is good news .. turns out all my purple textures were caused by not having the 2x2 settings enabled. With them enabled I can enable the 4096 texture resolutions which i think my computer was looking for. Still haven't gotten rid of the curtains in oblivion though. hmmm

    In case anyone wants to know, I just ran it with a higher level mesh setting and it got rid of the curtains. I changed it to 155000000 or something but i had it set on the diffult when the curtains happened.

    can anyone tell me why i've got big grey and black striped curtain looking film everywhere. I thought this was supposed to generate new land based on existing mods.

    I've made a worldspace that has some large flat areas. This is bad because Oscape (as well as CK) distributes very few points, over those areas, which brings to huge pits where Full-to-LOD transition happens.

    I've made a Oscape pts File Generator to give Oscape grids of evenly distributed points so that also flat areas should be adequately detailed, but it seems Oscape reads only points on cells' edges and ignores all the rest.

    Is there anything important I should know about custom points distribution so that Oscape will read them the right way?

    I found it a great tool for creating lod!

    I had hard times trying to make it work on XP, even trying to compile it, but failled partly due to a lack of time, and prefered to find a second PC with seven.

    By the way, I faced a problem while trying to generate the lod.
    For a unknown reason, from my esm, Oscape did not succeed in determining the size of the heighmap and this last was stretch in the x direction.
    So I preferred to go to the second step, and indicate the raw file. And at this step, Oscape found the right size of the file, and try to indicate the x,y border of the map, and fail because there is no position indication in the raw file and the map is not centered.

    Modifying the x,y value does not allow moving the lod but only using a subset of the cells it has determined.
    I found no way to generate the files over the whole map, with the right file names.

    So I have this request Ethatron : would it be possible to had an option for indicating the right position of the heightmap?

    The mitigation I will try is to generate the files with the (wrong) coordinates indicated by Oscape, and then renames all the files.

    It would be nice if the generator (especially for the textures) could be run one quad at a time. It sucks to have to generate textures for all of tamriel when the new mod only alters a little bit.
