Works perfectly, and can be combined with other rugs/clutter mods. They usually have all a varying amount of changes, none overwriting completely these of another, so it's just a preference of which ones you are gonna load first and which after.
I personally prefer first those with most content, and then to have more variety throughout Oblivion, those with lesser and lesser overwrites. Mod Organizer 2 helps greatly to see how much they contain or overwrite and modify easily their order.
