I am currently making my own multiplayer client server mod, it is going pretty well and will release soon with detailed setup videos for both connecting and hosting servers.
Here is a video of the current progress: https://youtu.be/E29pY6S3TNQ?si=smMPJ0RtMEnVgWVs

This mod has been a depressing experience for me. I always assumed that a co-op elder scrolls game was completely impossible, however when I installed this mod for the first time I realized that It clearly can actually work, as the core elements are there and basic game play is possible. It is clear that with a bit more work this mod could truly turn Oblivion into a functional two player experience.
The depressing fact is that in the mods current state it is not functional, short and simple adventures are possible (although you will be plagued by bugs and glitches from the moment you start co-op mode) but any long term game play is simply not possible to due the broken state that this mod has been left in. It is sad because this mods existence proves that co-op is in fact possible, however there has been no update since 2011 and it seems the mod author has discontinued work on the project. Obviously the creator doesn't owe a thing to the community, but it's just very sad to see the mod get so close to achieving a co-op elder scrolls experience, but being left just short of the finish line, resulting in a mod that teases you with a multiplayer oblivion but will inevitably break down and cease to function.
The bugs are endless, even when you find a solution for one bug it seems as though another one that is twice as game breaking takes its place. From objects multiplying themselves in player 2's inventory until they have 16 million items, to players freezing in co-op mode and being unable to move, to the targeting function simply failing to work. Trying to play this game with co-op for an extended period of time can't happen, short little adventures are possible if you learn how to persevere through the glitches, but eventually your characters will freeze and be unable to move no matter how many times you reload your save, this is something I have found to be inevitable on every save game. Most of the bugs can be worked around but that one completely breaks the mod and is a death sentence to playing any co-op on that save game.
In summary, I understand that the mod author doesn't owe the community anything, but it's really depressing to find a co-op mod that ALMOST works, because it proves that it is possible, but the project was abandoned. It's like you found a brick of gold, then decided to throw it to the curb right before you got to the bank to cash it in. If I had the knowledge I would try and fix it myself, but I'm unfortunately not skilled enough to do something like that.
Having very difficult time installing this mod, detailed instructions or video would be a dream. Given instructions are kinda vague. Please and thank you
THIS MOD IS AWESOME!!! Takes some getting used to but yah...its great...I'm basically here to share what i've done to get the best experience possible with this...first off the jumpings a joke...just add Elz - Realistic Gravity to fix that issue and also for all of u looking for stat/healthbars for your players use Scouter it adds overhead health bars to NPC's...by default this mod isnt designed to show the actual player 1's health and stats so i did some experimenting and got it to work on both players by changing the target marker to disabled and creating a new savegame...there may have been more involved but with what luck i had it worked...I'm gonna keep posting here as i experiment more and discover things that can help fix the little annoyances....with alittle luck and community support we can work out the kinks to make it better....instead of an abandoned half done project...
