EDIT* I got it to work with MO2 by simply launching from the Oblvion.exe instead of the OBSE Launcher. Apparently, it's better to run Oblivion through the exe with MO2
And one of the few things I actually liked about Morrowind. Thanks sir/ma'am, for having this and also one of the best mod descriptions in the download links ever.
I can't believe it took me this long to discover this mod, considering the *lack* of this feature in the vanilla has been annoying me for years. I just installed it, and it works flawlessly. Thanks, and I will endorse as soon as the Nexus' post-download timer lets me.
EDIT: Endorsed this morning. I can't believe only twelve endorsements! This is an extremely time-saving tool for any serious modder.
Plugin is in the folder, but it won't work in game? I've tried adding stuff using editor ID's and it won't work. For example, "player.additem BlackSoulGem 100" (without quotes) would not work. The game gave me the usual "BlackSoulGem not a valid ObjectID" or whatever the heck that error message for invalid X ID is. Anyone care to explain why?
edit: Heck, i even used the very example he gave, "player.additem lockPick 100"
I get the "lockPick not a valid ObjectID" message. I really want this fixed, because I would LOVE to be able to use this, it's amazing (in theory), but it WON'T WORK! WHY? *cries*
Edit2: Ok... Allow me to wonder. If this is a plugin for OBSE, Why... the ****... does OBSE not SEE IT!? I have NifSE.dll and RuntimeEditorIDs.dll in the same folder. OBSE.log states that it loads NifSE successfully, then closes. Why does it not see your plugin? I'm going to go cry now. *cries*
Edit3: OK, i need to run oblivion as administrator to load these, and then i found a NEW problem. OBSE reports this as incompatible, and then Oblivion CTDs.
Love this little tool. I use it all the time. In fact I got so spoiled that it took me a minute to realize why my instruction to a player of one of my mods wouldn't work:
player.additem DBCLeyawiinSancKey 1
Then it dawned on me. I told him to install RuntimeEditorIDs rather than screwing around trying to figure out what damned form ID should be.
