These textures do not replace each other. Silver textures are for vanilla silver clutter, and gold textures are for gold clutter from OOO (vanilla game does not contain any gold items) If you`re not using OOO, you don`t need gold textures at all
PushTheWinButton's Ascension mod also includes a golden vase as part of its additional "gold clutter" loot, which is compatible with this mod's high-res texture. All that is needed is to download the "HiRes Gold Clutter" optional file and change the texture's path to "textures/clutter/upperclass", then either move it to the Data folder or use your mod manager of choice.
I might not be the right person to tell you this, but it's a manner of personal taste in the end. The advantage of using this mod is that it covers both silver and gold items. Might be other things to take into account, but like I said, I'm no expert. I have been using this mod in particular for many years now.
does this replace all silver clutter with gold, if using gold ver, or leave a mixture, depending on 'class' of residence? Would like 'some' gold clutter, but prefer silver IRL (gold = metallic piss to me), but gold for 'a touch' is nice. Already use the shinier silver mod ya mentioned. lesse what silver looks like in combo with it.
Hey, could you add a version of gold clutter that replaces silver clutter for vanilla and rename the silver clutter to gold counterparts? I think gold would be more "upperclass" and I do not use OOO. Do what you want, this is just a request.
2 ziitch, In fact, my mod makes textures more shiny than vanilla (I uploaded a few more images to show that). You can also try "Better Silverware", which adds reflections to make silver items more "shiny" (but also makes them look strange sometimes)
