I read the readme and tried changing all the options and my water looks FANTASTIC, better than vanilla Skyrim water, I dare say, but there is this weird black patch along the shore. Where the water meets the land, the surface of the water has a black patch that flashes and pops in and out when I look around. I don't have any other mods installed. Any suggestions?
Especially if you haven't got any other mods installed, you should rather switch to Oblivion Reloaded (the updated and enhanced version of OBGE and Liquid Water). If you don't want any other effects, you can disable them in OR, and leave only water.

I used to get this in the form of water reflections flickering to black and back when looking around using Oblivion Reloaded v6.5..... I wonder if this has been fixed in the latest release of Oblivion Reloaded or Oblivion Reloaded Combined(ORC).
This one still works great by the seems. Along with the OBGE Core here on Nexus.
For anybody else concerned. I had no luck with the OBGE and LW versions found on the Google repo. Did all manner of mucking around and mixing and matching. With the GR versions, the shaders work under water but not for the surface. Anyway this works fine.
Don't bother yourself with the hardships of Oblivion Reloaded. These two work great. Consider NAO or All Natural weather mods and whatever lighting mods suit your fancy :)
How were you able to get OBGE core working? It crashes whenever I load a save, I read the instructions and even looked up a video on how to set it up but just kept getting crashes when loading.
I installed then uninstalled this mod but now I have invisible underwater and my characther's body parts in the water can't be seen. I think this mode changes the core files of oblivion and therefore deletes some water shaders. So when you uninstall the water is completely gone from the game :/
Hey man thanks for the reply, I just found out the culprit came back here to write something and I saw your reply. The invisible body issue is because of the chameleon affect no chameleon=problem solved. And with chameleon I can just rp as chameleon in water can't be seen so not a problem.
About the invisible water issue: I verified the game via steam and rebuild the bashed patch via wyre bash. Problem solved. Thank you for the interest :)
I noticed that some buildings reflections on the water (for example the Floating Tavern in IC) have illuminated windows, BUT the actual building doesn't have one (since I don't have any illumination mods installed). how that possible? I presume that this water shader designed for those who have illumination mod. anyway, what illumination mod do you recommend? I have the following mods installed: RAEVWD OBGE v3 QTP Brumret textures for SI every of unofficial patches hi-res textures for grass and terrain
Having a problem with the water that Ive never seen before, the ripples and the water itself is really laggy looking but everything else is fine. Any ideas?

I have installed:
OBGE Core - Nexus download
OBGE Standalone effects
LW from here and the Dungeon fix
The DLL I have present in my OBSE file is the "OBGEv2.dll". The "support" plugin (esp) it comes with, I am NOT using either.
I don't remember much else, but just using those files everything works and there is no config file to speak of.
Only issue I have noticed was the tree reflections sometimes come on from a distance during really foggy weather (NAO).
It sounds like shaders issue.
