This file is severely out of date, the original author of the mod Companion Share and Recruit, TheTalkieToaster has incorporated these changes (credited in the description and the readme) as well as many other fixes and upgrades into the original mod which was updated 21:13, 28 December 2007.

Feature List:
- Access the inventory of any NPC in the game
- Recruit any NPC in the game to your cause
- Order them to follow you or wait in place
- Send them to a choice of meeting places in every city
- Command them to attack specific targets
- Set them harvesting ingredients nearby
- Find out their stats and level
- Boost their confidence and weaken your enemies with your Battle Cry (which levels up your speechcraft with use)
- Recruit generals and assign NPCs to them, who will do whatever you command the general to
- Generals grant different bonuses to NPCs in their units
Companion Share/Recruit adds a series of lesser powers (conferred by meeting a mage in the Arcane University gardens) that allow you to access anyone's inventories, recruit any NPC in Tamriel to serve your cause, and order your followers about. Provided, of course, they like you.
By undergoing a (very) short quest to restore the honour of a disgraced general, several generals will pledge alleigance to you, and allow you to assign units of your followers for them to control, even conferring some of their strengths to those in their units.
TO GET THE DARK ELF GENERAL: Follow them into the Market District Warehouse at midnight to catch them stealing.
IF YOUR COMPANION STRIPS DOWN AFTER SHARING:
1. Is there a chest beneath their feet? If so, the mod has gone all screwy. Click on the chest and type "removeallitems player" to get the gear out of it. This is rare, but I have no idea what causes it.
2. Try sharing again, but outside. Sharing inside shops often flags your equipment as stolen, which ain't so good.
This mod uses no dialogue, only script-effect spells, and so is compatible with any and all companion mods.

GhettoGangsta's Changes
-Companions can ride horses
-Skip fallout behavior (ex. They will attack innocent people if you attack them, etc. If you steal, they will ignore and not give you a bounty.)
-ALL companions now can swim everywhere and anywhere
-If you want to meet them at a certain place, they will get there faster because they will be using horses.
