    Truly love the boots with this set. I'd kill for a tan shirt and a brown skirt variant though.

    It isn't quite that simple. The result would still count as armor.
    To make a clothing version of armor, you need to create a new item under the "clothing" category, assign the biped model, world model, and icon image of the armor you wish to convert, select the body part it covers, and set the other parameters. Then you'll need to place it in the game. I find it easiest to place it in the container the mod already provides.
    It's easy to figure out if you poke around in the CS, and once you do, you can make your own clothing versions of any armor.
