The Amulet of Nine Lives is a protective amulet which, when worn, gives the player the automated ability to paralyze all surrounding enemies for ten seconds, and complete health restoration. It automatically senses and fires when the players health gets below 30HP, so no user intervention is required during combat. But it is not without cost. The amulet, true to its name, will function nine times. When its charge reaches 0, it will cease to fire, and be essentially useless.

The amulet can be recharged with nine daedra hearts. When you first receive it, it will have a charge of zero, but you will recieve a complimentary set of hearts with which to give it an initial charge.

The amulet tries hard not to affect your companions, but mistakes are inevitable. The effect is non-destructive and will (probably) not cause anyone not all ready in combat against you to turn on you.

It is highly unlikely, but you may even be very unlucky and become paralyzed yourself. You will still get the full health restoration even if that happens. (The reasons for this are technical, not based on luck - see readme).

There is a small chance if you are taking ALOT of damage, that the amulet will not be able to fire in time. In my testing, against 4-5 town guards at once with a level 2 character, it was approximately 90% successful.

ChangeLog:

4/30/06: v.02 Added a change to determine player level and add that number to the HP at which the amulate activates. 30 + Level. So now when you are level 10, it'll fire at 40HP, level 20 at 50HP, etc.
