Rhapsody is a mod that tries to bring life to the dull magic system in Oblivion that consists of 10 different versions of the same spell with slightly different stats and same exact graphic. Rhapsody is a mod that tries to bring life to the dull magic system in Oblivion that consists of 10 different versions of the same spell with slightly different stats and same exact graphic. It introduced a whole new way of playing the game and allowed total control over roleplaying availability.

Story of Rhapsody: Bards from all over the world tries to restore peace and balance back to the land. Their ultimate goal is to find a Legendary power that's told through ancient lyrics that can ultimately defeat the evil from Oblivion. This legendary power is a song that was created by the previous Gods that was left in the world to prevent a catastrophe in the far future. To unseal this song, one must become the master of all School of magic and obtain the Six Symphonies of the World. Each school of magic holds the power of one of the symphonies. Only by performing the six symphonies in the right order, can one unseal the final song of salvation, the Eternal Harmony.

Properties of the 5 different kinds of new magic:

Time (Mysticism): Temporal Damage: These spells are all focused on damage over time and area damage over time. They are slow casting, however they all carry some negative effects. This is the most Magicka per Damage efficient class to use. excellent choice for Battlemages and even pure melees.

Dance (Destruction): Rhythm Damage: Very powerful area damage spells that heals you while damages enemies. The catch is they are short ranged and costs quite some Magicka to use. They also have many different effects, many spells lowers enemy's attributes while damages them at the same time. Other effects including disabling enemies while healing you.

Water (Alteration): Aqua Damage: These spells are the most direct and offensive spells. They are mostly for regular direct damage that you would spam over and over again with no side effects. Casting speed is average. Higher level spells covers large areas.

Song (Illusion): Music Damage: These spells are the weakest damage of them all, however they have the most unique effects of them all. Most of Song spells ignore Silence, Absorb, Reflect, and Area Obstacles. Quite several different lines of Song spells carries the effect of Large Area Damage over Time. The main damage line of Song spells has the ability to catch an enemy projectile and throws them back. The higher unique Songs have very wondrous effects. Definitely check out Holy Requiem and Ballad of Light when you reach the level to get them.

Holy (Restoration): Holy Damage: Not much has changed since last release, however the animation and graphic has been changed completely. The damage rate and Magicka cost is on equal grounds as Water Spells however they cast slightly slower and are much more harder to obtain. The final Holy Spell, Magnus Exorcismus, now summons a giant shining cross onto the ground that damages everything in 100 feet for 10 seconds.
