    how is this non functional mod, that relies on off-site resources that no longer exist, even still allowed on here? this should have been deleted/set to private once the dependencies for it became unavailable, or reuploaded WITH those dependencies. idgaf about "author permission", once they have abandoned their mod, its everyones property.

    Is there anyway to install this via Vortex? If not I will just reinstall after downloading Oblivion Mod Manager.

      *EDIT: Removed everything here since it's now redundant and just updated my other post since I finally got the mod to work.

      But, I will keep this from my original post:

      4.) IF you use OCO, there is a fix for googly eyes here so that they can be used together.

      5.) You may also hear mentions of Archive Invalidation, seemingly MO2 does this for you already, just as MO2 also can handle BAIN installers and OMODS. If you DO still have problems anyway, it's recommended that you install SkyBSA to fix any other archive invalidation issues.

    The author, Vortex does not download files that you have linked to in the column Option. I had to go back to the Inari Race fashion page to find a reference to a more recent version 1.8 that was corrected and working correctly in the comments

      2ch++ 0.9.8a or 0.98a is ten-year old pack of hair, eyes, and races from jap modders' labor.
      Built atop of 2ch 1.4.
      There is no higher version, but different repacks can have some added/missed resources or .esp with tweaks and fixes and errors of variating quality.
      That LL version is not worst, you just need to unpack it with something and throw out esps unless really need it. Most mods depend on its esm anyway.

      I wouldn't recommend using versions of MBP from here... LL is where you want to go, as the all-in-one/AIO version of MBP is there. Only issue is the missing Chanpon races which you can also find there.

    what's the point of rewriting/merging vanilla hairs in this version of mbp?
    Some of vanilla hairs in the game went(esp-related, i know) completely distorted, as if there language/path issue to certain texture.
    Did i miss something?
    Went throught archive invalidation, bought the game in steam and still.
    Hate it, when the game be capricious when it comes to localization issue, and apparently english is more common than anything else out here.. p.s. i know but of one other mbp version, that's work like a charm, but it's in dlc sized addon pack in russian language, the only issue is the bashed patch that requires all other mods to work even when set off.

      Despite the creator being somewhat recently active on here, they don't and haven't updated this mod in 10 years at this point. They will probably never upload or update this mod. I have a comment/post here that explains how you can use this mod by using an AiO version of it, it just isn't hosted here.

    **EDIT: So as of 12/13, I have pretty much been able to play with this mod and make it WORK! It's a very long story, but I happened to find a video of someone playing with and using this mod as well as the XEO mod that changes NPCs. He goes through ALL the races, so you will be able to see what they all look like.

    I don't play with a lot of mods in my game and mainly wanted a race to play my OC with that was included in this pack. Now, I am not allowed to link certain websites here, so you will have to do some Google searching. I followed the load order in the description of that video (with mods he had that I also had, including the HGEC body, body textures, animations, and ofc the MPB. I am not playing with and have not installed XEO, but if I ever do, I'll update this, otherwise, you're probably fine just installing that too.)

    You'll notice that he's using an AiO version of the mod that includes the BASE Beautiful People, MBP,  and this mod, MBP++, along with an updated x117 (it includes chanpon, lop ears elf race etc). This AiO will save you time, struggling and conflict issues. A quick google search of "Mbp ++ allin1 omod v2.1beta" will take you to a website that you can download this mod on. It also tells you what it includes. Now, there's a load order there that will tell you how to load the mods in your plugins section (if you use MO2). Don't follow it. The mod is fine if installed as is.

    A user here on nexus had a photo that I found that shows how this mod looks, what race they're using, etc.

    Download and install the mod. After that, you will need to do a few things because there will be some mods this is dependent on. You will need to download Ashara's Sirens and Tritons, otherwise, they will show up blank in the game. I believe you'll also need rose sims hair conversions which can be found in/downloaded from the same place as the AiO mod. After that, you may need to download the chocolate elves race to fix a missing textures issue. (I didn't download it personally because I don't play with them.) Otherwise, their textures will be black. You will also need to download the Diablo 6 in 1 elves mod as well. A google search of "PYFFIed Mesh and Texture for Diablo Elves" will help you find what you need I think. (I personally didn't install this either since I don't care for the races. If you aren't going to play with them or the chocolate elves, you can skip the step of downloading them.)

    Unfortunately, if you’re downloading this for the chanpon races, their bodies show up purple. I’m unsure at the moment what causes it, I haven’t taken the time to look at the folders to see where the texture folders are pointing. They may also show up as bald. However, a few of the chanpons DO show up correctly. If some textures show as wrinkled, don’t forget to open your ini, and edit the FaceGen line to 0. You can find plenty on this. Some races may show as bald or having base game hair. I don’t intend on playing those races that do. However, some of them, such as the Blood Witches race is here on the nexus and I’m sure an original install of them will fix it.

    HOWEVER, I strongly believe what changes the vanilla races as well as some of these races not having smooth skin, is having XEO installed. I personally don’t and haven’t installed it, but because it overhauls base game races, it also probably overhauls their textures for the face as well.

    This version of MBP (AiO) also includes more races. I will make a Spoiler tag that has a list of all that’s included and which are playable without anything missing.

    After that, you should be good to go. If you choose to install any kind of XEO mods (and the ONLY ones you should install so you don't have any conflicts is either XEO5, or XEOSP++ (the most up to date version), which you can also find with a google search. Just know, XEO adds a few more races, changes base game races and makes the NPCs have the same races in these mods/mod pack. I HIGHLY recommend you download the rose sims hair conversions, chocolate elves, etc all the things I said were "optional" if you download XEO, considering that NPCs will spawn with the appearance of these race mods!

    Hopefully, this helps! I can finally play with this freakin' mod for once! I will try to answer any questions anyone has about playing/installation!

    To see or read all the other things I found about this mod/my progress you can open this spoiler but, it is VERY long lmao?

    Spoiler:
    Show

    *EDIT: This mod is an enigma that I must figure out lmao, I will continue to update this comment as I do more hunting on the mystery of getting this to work.

    As of, 12/11/22... I have managed to find EVERY single file necessary for this mod to work, including having NPCs with this appearance with the XEO mods. At the moment, I'm having the severe issue of NONE of the races showing up in game, not even any of the vanilla races. And for some reason an excessive amount of the race repeated over and over.. (clicking like 20+ times to get to the next race.) I will update this post again once I get some things working. I use MO2 only to install mods, and I've been able to install all the ones I want (the exception of this one), without any problems. I'll update with progress and will eventually post a guide and or video to show how to install everything. If I can't get it to work, I'll just do a fresh reinstall and start over entirely.

    Alright, this is going to be a looooong post for anyone trying to install this mod.  I'm making this post to save you both time and your hopes. I am sure that if you have the patience, you can get this mod running, but frankly, you will need A TON of patience.

    This has evidently been difficult to install even since it's release, so don't worry, it isn't just you or another "broken mod". This mod has always been complicated. I have googled like crazy on how to install this and have followed every tip, trick and guide that I could to get this thing to work. Missing textures, races flat out not showing up, black eyes, googly eyes, purple skin, npcs with those traits, all common problems since this mod was ever shared here. It's a beautiful mod, but the execution of installation is discouraging and very hard to do, not because this mod doesn't get updated, but because of allll the dependencies This mod is so fragile. I am sure that over time, despite it being popular, people just got tired of the complexities of trying to install it. On top of that, this is a JPN mod, and practically all the sites and DL links to the original mods are dead.

    Here are some tips/things I found and learned when trying to install this thing that might help you, or might help someone be able to get this running and can share their steps.

    1.) I am not saying NO ONE has gotten this to work. I went through and read every single page of the comments/feedback this mod has and the majority hasn't been able to get it to work. Anyone that did get it to work, doesn't share HOW they installed it so, if you're going through the comments to see if there's one that's like that? There isn't.

    2.) Evidently, to get the races to look ANYTHING AT ALL like the photos, you'll have to do a bit of extra work with editing your INI and if you want NPCs change, you will need a few more mods such as the "XEO" mods to go with this. This mod ALONE JUST gives you races, eyes and hair.

    3.) If you want to see if there's a way to simply just take the races you want from out of this mod, you can't, as the race is dependent on this entire mod. Without the master resource, they won't work.

    4.) If you're curious to see what this race pack looks like in game/what some of the races look like, there is a youtube video titled "Oblivion: Character Creation (with Modded Races)" uploaded in 2012. It includes a lot of the races shown in this pack.

    5.) There WAS a 2011 guide made to show people how to install this mod but, the videos are no longer available, at least for me using Google Chrome, since flash has been discontinued. I was able to use wayback machine to gain access to that guide/webpage and see what the page said. You'll notice that they mention in the optional section to get: XE05obse, XeoSp, XeoRC4, LittleElf, Lop ears elf mini etc. Those XEO mods are now outdated, XEOSP++ is the last/latest vers. If you translate the comments section on this guide, people then also were having the black eyes issue because this mod didn't add all the files.

    6.) Some tips people in the comments shared: "For all those with install problems / black eyes / whatever - just repeating what has been said - REMEMBER you need the BP mods then, MBP mods and then install MBP++, otherwise it won't work... or not properly at least." "If you want to disable races you don't want to show in character creation? Easily done with Tes4Edit, just remove the race's playable flag."

    7.) Another installation order someone suggested:

    1.Install HGEC_Body_with__BBB_v1dot11-34442.omod
    2.Beautiful People 2ch-Ed v1.8.0 Fixed
    3.(MBP) Modular Beautiful People 2ch-Edition (Full) 1.4.omod
    4.Chanpon1.0
    5.x117++077
    6.bFaceGenTexturing=0 (ini file edit)
    7.MBP++094a OMOD install

    8.) I found another installation guide. I don't believe I'm allowed to link to that site but, on comments page, 31, the user megadomonic has a link to a guide. You can paste it into wayback machine to access a later date to be able to look at it. It gives tips on how to install this mod and the beauty mods to go with it to look like the photos.

    9.) Here is another guide that was found in these comments, you will either need to change the url or paste it into way back machine.

    For me personally with installing: had an issue where nearly ALL of the races show up as invisible. I use an Alt Start but a few people without it also said they had the problem of when they do click on a race, not only does it not show up, but the camera shifts to being outside of the prison cell. I use Alt Start by ship, so my camera did the same thing somehow, camera shifting to being outside of the prison cell. The few races that did show also had black skin/faces and black eyes. Actually, all races, including default races had black eyes. Some of the races also seem like they're not using the textures included.. (learned it was due to missing beauty mods). Any custom races that I installed outside of this pack, all show up perfectly fine though, i.e the Warcraft Elves mod, Night Elves mod, Cupid & Angel Races, Cute Elves, etc. I DO have the MPB and OCOV2 eyes googly fix installed and I do not use OCOV2. I also use custom body meshes and textures.

    I know this is long, but I hope this is helpful! Not too far beneath my comment, someone listed a working link for the MBP v1.4a file.
