Timing based blocks only removing the need to have a highly trained block skill to avoid damage. Of course the higher end blocking perks are still very useful though.

This is a modification to Picador's Better Blocking what this mod does in practice however is completely different in that blocking is no longer skill dependent and now depends completely based on timing. Shields are much more useful now because they will let you block any attacks for up to two seconds before you need reblock and weapons will only allow you to block for 1/4th of a second before needing to reapply a block. I did this to simulate parrying and readjusting your shield.
