This mod synchronizes the in-game date and time with that of the real world, resulting in a completely new and challenging gaming experience.

Although the in-game time, days and months are identical to that of the real world, the in-game year is adjusted to avoid being set to an unrealistic time period. As the game is set in the years starting E3 433, it's linked to the year Oblivion was released (2006). The year 2011 will therefore show as E3 438 in-game, rather than E3 2011.

Next to the in-game date and time being synchronized with the real world, also the amount of days played is linked to real world time. This means that it increases even without playing and therefore has a direct impact on the game itself. Examples of this are respawn time, shop opening hours and quests. As in-game time is slower while synchronized, respawn time is automatically adjusted to compensate. Please note that TimeScale related quests (there are 2) work without issues.

In-game fast travel and waiting is no longer possible (would be pointless and unrealistic). Sleeping however, to trigger level ups, etc. is still possible, but it's now expected that the player character sleeps when not in-game (much like logging off in games like WoW). To do this, select any bed and select the sleep option. Doing so will create a sleeping savegame which can be loaded at a later date to finish sleeping. A sleeping savegame is called Sleeping - Level xx, where xx is the player character's level. When the player character has been off-line for more than 1 real world hour his/her stats (health, magicka and fatigue) are refreshed, much like in game waiting. This also avoids the player character from dying of starvation after logging in when Basic Primary Needs is installed.

Finally, a Time Link spell is added to the player character's spellbook to toggle time synchronization, to resolve any possible game time issues. Disabling Time Link also returns time speed back to normal and enables fast travel, waiting and old style sleeping.

No files will be replaced by installing this addon. It will however need OBSE (version 20 or higher is recommended) to function properly. Please note this mod is currently not compatible with the See You Sleep mod.

Also check out my other mods and leave feedback and/or endorsement if you like to support this addon. Thanks and enjoy!
