This is a sailing ship and rowboat that the player can control.

Click on the hull or wheel of the ship to activate. Press 'run' - by default the shift key - to access the control menu while sailing. You'll need to select 'turn to my heading' from the menu to steer and 'half sails' or 'full sails' to move forward.

Access the Cabin via the standard deck hatch and the rear cabin hatch. Access to the two lower decks through a hatch in the deck, within the cabin.

You will find the ship moored at the Imperial Villa, east of the Mage Quarter and south of Wellspring Grove. (12,9)

There is a rowboat on the deck of the ship. When activated, the rowboat deploys off the port side. By jumping down to it and activating it again, it can be rowed. To return the rowboat to the ship, the ship must be activated while the rowboat is in rowing mode.

** Version 1.1 **

- All containers within the ship have been replaced with non respawning versions of the same.

- The ship has been moved to it's final mooring at Imperial Villa, east of the Mage Quarter and south of Wellspring Grove. (12,9)

** Version 1.0 **

- Added fast travel option, allowing the ship to move between Anvil and Imperial City.

- Fixed some problems with falling through the rowboat.

- Problems remaining:
Refer to v0.99

** Version 0.99 **

Added collision detection. Most of the time this is relatively intuitive, although it can be tricky, at times. Collision detection works best when colliding head-on and is at it's worst when colliding with several objects along the side (like the Titanic and the iceberg). If the collider gets really out of whack, it may be neccessary to rock the ship off the obstacle by selecting commands from the menu repeatedly. Dropping anchor can also help, once the obstacle is cleared. In short, it is best to not run into things.

- Added a fully functional rowboat.

- Added a new activator. The crows nest can be reached by activating a mast.

- Fixed a problem where the player fell through the deck when loading from a save, while inside the ship and then exiting the cabin.

- Problems remaining:
When you are in-game and load a save, where you were standing on the deck of the ship, you will fall through the deck. This can always be fixed by returning to the main menu before loading the save. Apparently, some data does not get cleared by Oblivion when loading a save from in-game. It is IMPOSSIBLE to fix this unless Bethesda makes all loads act like main menu loads or until they add a scripting event to let us know when a game has just been loaded.

** Version 0.95 **

- Fixed a problem where player fell through deck at first. Some jittering in third-person view from some angles occurs, due to new scripts. First person view is smooth.

- Problems remaining:
There is no collision detection for the ship, so you can sail right through the land if you like.

** Version 0.9 **

- Initial release.

- Problems remaining:
When you first start sailing, you initially fall through the deck. This repairs itself, over time.
There is no collision detection for the ship, so you can sail right through the land if you like.

** Notes **
This version has been modified by Grumblepunk, with safe containers and moved to it's final mooring location, at the area called Imperial Villa. You will now be able to use an Oblivion working Pirate Ship as your personal home or, at the very least, a traveling vault. This version was authorized by Jason1.
