Thanks for this beautiful mod, I already used shooting stars mods in Morrowind and Skyrim, finally Oblivion also got his own, endorsed anyway. However i found a graphical glitch / incompatibility with an another nice immersion mod, the Realistic aurora in motion. That one make a moving aurora effect in Bruma region, at night. So, when aurora active, shooting stars still happens but not in their regular way, they looks like black stripes in the sky, not like the original shiney ones. I love this 2 mod and want to use it together, but this way now its a little immersion breaking. Any solution how can fix this? Or could we hope a compatibility version? If nothing else work, i guess an alternative version which disable falling stars only in Bruma's specific aurora regions could be awesome, and will be fix this problem. Thanks again, and keep up the good work!
sorry to bump this 2 years later but i've recently noticed the same issue, it really is immersion breaking :( they're both very beautiful mods and i dont want to get rid of either of them, were you ever able to fix it? or did you just let it be....thanks in advance
Well, I believe, it may be actually possible, to patch the versions, with a modified script, which would check, if an aurora is active, and not trigger the falling stars. I only had a quick look on the script source in TES, but I think, it's only possible to modify it in Creation Set. I still have to dive deeper in all that, to be able to make a change (especially CS)... but putting it on my list wishlist. Seems very simple to modify, once I know, how to edit & compile it.
Saw one! Of course then I had to remember that if i didn't look forward when I was running I could crash into monsters and I returned to my senses, haha! Nice work, thanks!
But falling/shooting stars aren't actually stars, they're meteors burning up in the atmosphere. So you could just argue that these are just chunks of Masser/Secunda (being that they're two parts of a decaying corpse and all) falling to Nirn.
