It took me some time to figure out how this program works. The only thing I didn't understand was the handling of ignore list. So my workaround was manipulitating the vertices of the shapes in Blender and export every shape as Nif and import the shapes in FaceMix. Eventually; I got the result I wanted.

Hm, how hard would it be that if it doesn't find a TRI or EGM file for a NIF, it creates blank EGM and TRI files? I've edited a head mesh and the parts to fit it but I have a feeling that the EGM and TRI files will have to be made from scratch rather than work from the originals...

Facial expressions won't be enough. For a fully fledged face you also need morphs for the adjustments in egm file. If the topology is very different than the default head,if you want to conformulate it,then then all the morphs will be broken. Facial expressions may be a problem, but as far as I see the real problem will be the egm file. There are more than 50 different facegen morphs. When I imported them is blender I got more than 50 versions of the head. The game takes the differences between the base head the the morphed head and uses it as some kind of measurement unit. Any bumps or imperfections in the morphed head will probably get amplified several times. So even a small bump will look horribly. Or at least I think so if I understood correctly.

And the facegen morphs have to be balanced. A smaller or bigger mouth will have impact on other parts of the face too and it mustn't unbalance other morphs. This is what I have noticed with the default oblivion face and head 06. They always keep a balance. And combining several of them will probably bring even more complications. All this has to be done realistically.

Thank you very much. I hope this will help me make the facial animation for a new head.

I'm glad it actually was useful to someone. Hope it doesn't have any bugs left or incompatibilities with various egm or tri files .
