For anybody still struggling to use this mod, I'll attempt to list out the steps that I followed.
1) [Manually] Download ConScribe (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/26510) 2) Extract ConScribe, and then drag the "OBSE" Folder into the "Data" Folder within Oblivion's directory. 3) [Manually] Download this mod. 4) Drag "DarNifiedUI Config Addon.esp" into the "Data" Folder in Oblivion's directory. 5) If you're using MO2, click on the "Plugins" tab and check the box for "DarNifiedUI Config Addon.esp" 6) Open your game, mess with the Darnified settings, and then relaunch to ensure it's working!
Unfortunately for users of other MMs, I only use MO2 so I couldn't direct you to where your esp files are located in the MM.
Be sure you get Conscribe in the correct folder. It goes inside the data folder. Just to let you know, there is also an OBSE/Plugins folder withing the main Oblivion folder also. Conscribe HAS TO be in the Data/OBSE/Plugins folder.
you just install the stuff in the desc and then the addon saves your darn ui configs, only menu you use is the darn ui config if thats what u meant its in-game in player stats tab
How do I open the config menu ingame? I know it sounds silly. I have the latest OBSE version and the latest ConScribe version and I can't find a way to open this menu. Help pls.
If you open your inventory, then in the down left corner click on the tab with hp, magicka and stamina. After that it's the tab most to the right. The one that shows some sort of a fist.
Can confirm, I've been looking everywhere for this info. Somehow ended up following a tutorial that wanted me to change the ini to scale the hud for a bit.
I installed this along with ConScribe @ https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/26510 and it worked flawlessly, all I had to do was manage some overwrite files with mod organizer 2. This is now one of my favorite mods. Thank you so much, you've saved me a lot of time!
I'm even later, but the Overwrite folder (look in the left pane for a plain entry simply named Overwrite) can be opened in Explorer--find the file/s you're looking for, drag and drop them into the right place in the associated mod's folder. Only very slightly fiddly, but simple enough when you have a couple windows open and know what you're looking at.
Seem to have trouble using this with ConScribe. Using MO2, and for some reason the per-mod log file isn't appearing in the ConScribe folder, so I can't ever save my DarNified settings. Not sure what I'm messing up here?
so....MO2 uses a virtual folder system, this means that each mod supposed to create files on runtime (like Darn Config) would be NOT created in the folder they are supposed to, and so Oblivion won't load them (I don't use MO2, but I think they should be in an "override" folder or something)...I can't explain it better. MO2 devs could help you probably, or someone using MO2....
Can somebody tell me where this mod stores the settings? I've run into a weird problem where I cannot reset the DarN UI configuration. I'd like to return to default settings, but no matter what I do--including completely removing and reinstalling Darnified UI and this Config Addon--my custom configuration persists. I've searched across my entire computer for an XML file representing the on-screen configuration, but found nothing. The one XML file I do find ("hudmainmenu_config.xml") doesn't match what I see on-screen, and changing that XML file manually has no effect. I'm stumped.
Looks like it's saved in Documents/My Games/Oblivion/Pluggy (at least if you're using Pluggy - I'm not sure where it is if you use ConScribe instead, but it's a place to look at least). I had to find this as well since, unless I'm missing something, the in-game UI seems to only you adjust positions in increments of 15, which isn't fine-grained enough to put the sneak eye in the exact center where I want it >.>
