This would be a really good mod, but everything in the distance is flickering and it looks bad. Is there any way of getting the blur without everything that is blurred flickering constantly?

I tried this out anyway and I like it but I'd rather the blur happen a bit differently. like the distance being 10000-15000 and at an intensity of 8 is there anyway you could do that? or tell me how to edit .fx files?

I'd like to use this mod- seems like it would make those distant LOD's a little easier to look at, even with the high res D-LOD's they still look off. plus it would be kind a artsy looking, but I love having my crisp beautiful stars I wouldn't be able to stand them being blurred. I'd love to hear if this gets fixed somehow-

@Reng: a lot of people actually think the world far away is blurrier. If you have correct eyesight (or glasses like me), you learn it is just as crisp as the world up close.

But this isn't a pretty way to blur it, I agree with you.

I don't understand who'd enjoy this mod? I bet not someone who has problem with eyes + That kind of blur doesn't happen in real life, is unrealistic and also I believe it might cause eye damage...

@ DarkFox1992: You can keep it up, it's fine. I just thought that you might rather enjoy working as part of the OGE team if you're versed in HLSL to edit shaders.

Regarding the stars blurring, I'll be fixing that in the next update to OGE, which I'd like to get started on soon, but which is unlikely to happen like that.

uhm...dont think its possible not to blur the stars cause the blur is distance based...and the stars are veeeery distant..

if u want more blur u schould play around with the
extern int DepthPower variable ( at wich distance the blur begins) and the extern float DoFAmount variable, wich controls the strength of the blur....

^^ u dont need to fell sorry for bad english...i'm german too, for eg and some years ago my english was much worse than urs is now

It works fine for me, really helps with "flickering pixels" problem.
But first, I need a bit more blur. Should I increase blur level in all foure files proportional?

2.I use uGridDistantCount=10.Is the last file needed for me?

    P.S. Sorry for strange English

What you have done is a really nice (excellent) visual improvement. Wonderful idea and work.

One catch: Blurring all the stars... dosn't fit with what we see when we outisde. Anyway to make stars ignore the shaders?
