    Beautiful lords manor.

I do need imperial furniture mod for the entry hall area, cannot park my lordly rump on that piano, rather than on a throne.

the refs for YEltzInvisibleBedL and YEltzInvisibleBedR in the blue suite need their Z height a bit higher.  the R can barely be reach/used on the edge of the bed and the left cannot be touched at all.

Could you make a disabled/no-dynamic window/lightning version? They appear to be the cause for my FPS drop.

To be honest.. I really hate this mod. It's absolutely gorgeous, but I can't have it. Because the guard that you buy the castle from won't show up. I've looked everywhere for him and I've finally given up. I'm sorry if this comment is completely rude. I'm just really sad and angry that I can't buy the castle..

Somehow getting COBL seemed to fix it! I'm such a dummy. Sorry about what I said above. I'm so glad it's working properly now, but again please forgive the way I spoke above. I shouldn't have let my frustration get the better of me. It's a beautiful castle, and thank you so much for making it.

The bedrooms in this mod are amazing. They have a very unique feel compared to the vanilla houses and other house mods. The new textures for the beds and armchairs are really nice. The bedrooms and the dining room have windows that show the outside of the castle, and it corresponds to the time of day (as in, during night you'll see night outside)! I've never seen that in a housing mod before!
All the lighting in the house is mainly "blue" light, so barely any "yellow" light from candles and such. It's generally pretty dark everywhere (many corners of rooms that are completely black), especially during night, as the windows provide a lot of the lighting during daytime. This can be solved with buying candles from the Imperial Furniture mod.

Besides the bedrooms, bathroom and dining room, the castle is otherwise quite unimpressive. Just nothing special of note. It's I find the main hall very awkward. I don't know how to explain why I dislike it, but it just feels like a room simply made for doors to other rooms. I guess it feels as a simply functional room, a room to get from point A to point B, rather than an actual room in a house.

The castle is also quite claustrophobic, and the size of the castle from the outside definitely doesn't feel like a match with the size inside. All rooms in this mod are quite small, even the bedrooms, and the dining room. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does give the house more of a "manor" feel, rather than an outright "castle" feel.

So, all in all I'll keep this in my current Oblivion setup, mainly because of the bedrooms! I really like their unique feel, and makes for a nice change compared to the typical enormous and over-cluttered bedrooms in other mods!

One of the few castles I'm considering adding, even If I'm not a fan of castles at all. I'll have to think about it.

The lighting is abysmal. A lot of folks like that though, and they will find this perfect. I hate having to use Night Eye in my own abode though.
Perhaps 2 different esps would give this mod a wider fan base. One as it is, and one for those who want to see it.

The guy who sells you the deed is just inside the entry gate on your right standing on the wall.
There are no facilities for your horse. You probably had to sell it to buy the castle. ;-)
There are 2 guards by the gate who will probably defend it for you though, and a fountain from which it may drink.

This is definitely worth a look, and is another excellent choice for your role playing.
Thank you for another really beautiful mod choice.

The lighting is definitely a problem. I've opened the mod in the construction set and inside the castle are plenty of candles which provide light but there is almost no ambient lighting. Ambient lighting is a superficial lighting system which basically makes a room light up even if there are no light sources. However, without ambient lighting the lighting is even worse because after a certain distance from a light source, for example 3 meteres from a candle, there is zero light and everything is pitch black.

I've altered the mod to include a small amount of ambient lighting, especially in the green/red/etc rooms there is a lack of light. I also added some safe storage (there is very little) and some display cases. Now it's finally one of my favorite castles in the game

When I cleaned up this mod, I considered brightening it up a bit, but I didn't want to change any of the creative aspects from Yevic's original. It was only a little dark for me, so it might also be at least somewhat due to monitor/setting differences. I also noticed that raising the ambient light detracted pretty heavily from the window effects. However, you could definitely add some more point lights (such as candles or chandeliers) or raise the light radius on the existing ones to get more brightness if you want, and that would probably still look great, albeit at the cost of some performance (also another reason I didn't mess with it -- it's pretty rough on fps already). If you do it in the form of a patch, I would be happy to upload it here.

Alternately, as recommended below, the Imperial Furniture mod is the best thing ever for these situations.

If you are looking for a good quality, high end home, then this mod is for you. It is well thought out and executed and also sports some really cool textures. I only have one gripe with the mod and that is that the lighting is too low for my tastes, but that was easily corrected in the CS. As far as improvements go, I would suggest that a door be added where the middle window is located on the second floor library hallway that would lead out to a private open space directly over the main entry hall.

I did a walk about up there and wondered why furniture and a door wasn't installed from the get go as there are some rather nice views up there. As it is, it is wasted space which could be used to further improve an already impressive mod. As it stands, I highly recommend this mod as is, but would love to see what the creator could do with that space.

Thanks for bringing this to the community and endorsed!
