Thanks for this mod! Found it when looking for some realism: you have compass, map, correct date and time while being in jail, even in combat! This mod adds some realism, but gives no chance to see directions. To fix it, you might remove compass on HUD, but left compass in menu. I understand that should be another solution, because you remove reference to compass file at all. By the way, can you attach source xml file or write unmodified strings? To get compass back, use in pair with ESF Compass. The minus is it shows sides only when dropped - it's not active item or spell. I recommend using another "navigation" mod - Hourglass - Show Time, that adds "watches".
Works great for me! The OMOD version is a must for steam version users of Oblivion (like me), as it's the only version that will work. (That I know of)
Something about the steam version doesn't let anything that's not an Omod replace things.
Heh, I was just looking for a mod that does just this. Thanks, I'll check it out and return to endorse. Assuming it works
Edit: Okay, apparently it doesn't do what I was expecting. It modifies the xml... which doesn't work for me. Could you make a blank .dds file that overwrites the compass, making it no longer visible but still compatible with mods that change the HUD?
