As with many people, I am highly disappointed by many of the birthsign choices. For this mod, I have done my best to make each and every birthsign a useful and worthy choice for any hero while keeping them balanced and within the character of their original concept. 1. INSTALLATION

place the TES Construction Set file into your data folder and activate it in the Data Files menu on the Oblivion launch screen.


2. REQUIRES

This mod requires only that Oblivion be installed.


3. CONFLICTS

This mod will not conflict with any mod except those that also adjust birthsigns.

This mod DOES conflict, for sure, with the Birthsigns No Max mod.


4. ISSUES

I was unable to change the descriptions of the birthsigns used during the loading screens.


5. WHAT IS THIS?

As with many people, I am highly disappointed by many of the birthsign choices. For this mod, I have done my best to make each and every birthsign a useful and worthy choice for any hero while keeping them balanced and within the character of their original concept.

I have also added the special names given to each ability and spell that were present in Morrowind but only appear for a few of the birthsigns in Oblivion. For example, instead of merely being called 'Steed Birthsign' the attribute bonus is now called 'Charioteer.' If I remember correctly, these names can be found in-game via "The Firmament" book.

Lastly, I corrected the in-game descriptions of the birthsigns so that they are consistent with the new changes. I feel the descriptions of the signs during loading screens can be left alone since many of them leave out details in vanilla Oblivion, but would welcome any help on changing them if offered.


6. DETAILS

Here is the list of each birthsign and their bonuses. Where indicated, some of the birthsigns and/or their bonuses remain unchanged from default Oblivion.

The associated forum thread has my thoughts on the birthsigns and my reasoning for the changes I made.


Apprentice (unchanged)
permanent +100 Magicka, permanent +100% damage from magic

Atronach (unchanged)
permanent +150 Magicka, permanent stunted magicka, permanent 50% spell absorbtion

Lady
permanent +15 Endurance, permanent +15 Willpower

Lord
Restore 90 Health over 15 seconds spell, permanent +15% damage from fire

Lover
Paralyze on touch for 120 Fatigue power, permanent +20 to Agility

Mage (unchanged)
permanent +50 Magicka

Ritual
Turn Unded spell, Restore 200 Health and 20 of each Attribute power

Serpent
Poison on touch power, permanent +20 to Luck

Shadow
Invisibility power, Chameleon spell

Steed
permanent +20 to Speed, permanent +10 to Endurance

Thief (unchanged)
permanent +10 to Agility, permanent +10 to Luck, permanent +10 to Speed

Tower
Open Hard Lock power, Detect Life spell

Warrior
permanent +15 to Endurance, permanent +15 to Strength
