An English translation of the German mod Deathtrap Dungeon.

Permissions and credits
I found this mod while searching on a German mod site for something else. It looked interesting and was highly rated, so I decided to translate it using Lady Li and aaby's Egg Translator.

This is the original readme, along with an intro from the mod added by me.

A long time ago Baron Van Hassk built a dungeon. Not an ordinary dungeon, but the Deathtrap Dungeon. Only the bravest of the brave ventured into it, but none of them ever returned. It is believed that they were victims of the deadly traps and powerful monsters. Will there ever be a hero who can penetrate the depths of Deathtrap Dungeon and destroy Baron Van Hassk? This hero will gain treasure beyond his wildest dreams. Are you that hero?

1a) PREFACE:

So, now it's time. My biggest modification is completed. After about 1 1/2 months of hard work full of ups and downs, Deathtrap Dungeon is ready to be conquered.

1b) CONTENTS OF THE MOD

- 1 new Quest
- 1 new Dungeon, consisting of 5 levels and a treasury
- voiced dialogue
- 3 short videos
- 1 boss-level enemy
- 1 new sword models
- 1 new title for the player after completing Deathtrap Dungeon (rank icon)

2. INSTALLATION:

Simply extract the zipfile into the Oblivion folder (eg C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion) and answer the message with "Yes to all!" Then check the mod in the Oblivion Launcher mod list and off you go!

3. HINTS AND TIPS:

- The Quest starts in the port district of the Imperial City. You'll find a madman named Colanan near the ship with many crates in front of it. Then you simply talk to Colanan and the rest automatically follows. ;)

- I recommend plenty of healing potions and take a repair hammer.

- If the mod is too easy / hard, you can play around with the difficulty slider ;)

4. VERSION HISTORY:


Change Version 1.05:

- A new model + texture for spider sword .. if you do not like it, the old NIF file is included in this release.

If you want to restore the old model, remove the new model + texture (without parameters "_old") and rename the files "Spinnenschwert_alt", "Textur_alt" Textur_alt_n ". "Spinnenschwert_alt" so that the "_old" part is no longer there.

Change Version 1.04:

- Instead of only the axe, both weapons are now available - sword and axe.

Change Version 1.03:

- Instead of a sword, there is now an axe for those who like blunt weapons.

Improvements Version 1.02:

- Sword is no longer as thick
- Fixed the problem with the icon of the sword at a low resolution


Improvements Version 1.01:

- More potions of springing added
- "Solved" the tree problem (unfortunately had to replace all non-working trees with TreeKvatchBurned)
- Music adapted to atmosphere
- A key in the first level in a "chest" done ;)
