BEAST RACE: "KODIAK" by KARSCIYIN

All the information (aka 'infomations') I have on this custom race.
Note that, much to my chagrin, the way the game handles races (in the creating of distinct male/female versions) almost garentees discolourisation on females and tweaking colours is recommned. (Tweaking the meshes/shapes is not, as they will snap back in limits and no longer look bear-like.)

Some credits:
==>Leather texture (pads on hand/foot): http://fav.me/du9n3d
==>Fur texture (almost everything where original bits had spots and cloning tool was ugly etc): http://fav.me/d1gvs1p (I think it's actually carpeting... but it worked!)
==>Bethesda, of course, because it's all based on a tail-less Khajiit. Oh, yeah, and the WHOLE FREAKING GAME IT'S IN.

DESCRIPTION

WHY:
I love beast races - I feel they have more personality than man or mer. (Custom mer races are a dime a dozen anyway.) However I often have issues with tails in my game where the tail freezes at a point in animation - usually in a 'sitting down' position, though sometimes a hook from vampire feeding. Though the tail will still move left and right, it is suddenly rigid and has no effect on it from momentum. So, I decided to make a beast race that did not require a tail. The only one I could (and still can) think of - bear.

WHAT:
As one could probably gather from 'Kodiak', this race is a bear-like beast race, native to colder lands (ie northern Skyrim). It has a thick coat making it uneffected by the cold and resisant to (normal) weapons but vulnerable to fire. The Kodiak has no armour preferences (take your pick!) but fights best with either its paws (hand to hand) or heavy blunt weapons. It focuses primarily on strength and endurance.

TECHNICAL

==> VOICE: Nord (aka Orc). Originally argonian/khajiit but I decided that those voices weren't deep enough and changed it.
==> HAIR: Bald, or bald with earrings. The only hairstyles which fit were khajiit, which could not be recoloured to match. (Yes, there were the 'cap' ones, but the texturing on those is... odd.)
==> EYES: Only one option, default custom 'bear'.

==> STATS M/F:
Str: 60/55
INT: 20/20
WIL: 30/30
AGI: 35/35
SPD: 35/35
END: 55/55
LUK: 50/50 (races that are made unlucky just so they can be stronger yet 'balanced' = LAAAME)
PER: 35/40

TOTAL: 320/320

==> BONUSES:

Hand-to-hand: 10
Blunt: 10
Block: 5
Armorer: 10
Speechcraft: 5
Mercantile: 5 (Hey, bears are intimidating. M'kay...?)
TOTAL: 45

==> SPELL/ABILITIES
Eye of Fear (Khajiit demoralise default - bears are scary!)
Thick Coat (Constant - 100% resist frost, 75% weakness to fire, 20% resist normal weapons)
Bear Nose (Detect life 50ft for 60sec)

REQUIREMENTS

=> Latest Oblivion version (patch 1.2)
=> Cobl (uses Cap Bald hair, though hair esp shouldn't have to be enabled)

INSTALLATION

Download and open the ZIP file. Just extract everthing to your default folder for the game (eg C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion) - everything should go in the right place.
Yeah... I actually remembered to includ the textures this time. (Yes, I'm so stupid I forgot to include texture on the Drakel.)

MODIFCIATION PERMITTED...?

Don't see why not.
Personalise it for your own use freely. If you like the textures you may even use them as a base for making your own first race. If you want to make alternative colourisations (eg black bear, sun bear, panda, whatever), that's fine too. (Send me a link so you can get added to my description here.) NB: In the latter case, credit and a link tothe original is required so we're linking each other.
NO DIRECT REUPLOADING PERMITTED. Even with credit. Giving credit is NOT the same as asking permission!

HELP SOMETHING WENT WRONG!

eMail me at [email protected] with issues, or comment on the file page. I doubt I can help you, though it may have been something as simple as forgetting a particular texture. (Like... all of them.)
