An Elytra companion to go adventuring with.
Why an Elytra? Because wolves and dogs don't have poison stings.

Details:

Say hello to Inara.
She is high quality companion creature with several innovative features.

She is always 2 levels less than the player (Min 2, Max 42)
Her stats are set using "Elytra4" in the CS as a reference.
She will be about that strong when she's level 14.

Elytra have water walking, and 50% poison resistance and 20% weakness to magic.
Several small resistance perks to make her more suited to heavy combat;
Most notably, her hard carapace grants her moderate resistance to normal weapons.

New in version 1.7 you can pick which skin you want in game, no more separate downloads.
You have your choice of Mania, Dementia and a new black skin.
If you change your mind about which one you want open the console and type: Startquest InaraPick

My creatures come with a summon power, you must use it to call them into the game world for the first time.

Basic orders include Follow, Stay, and Go Home, to a location that you define.

Multi-Click control system.
Click Use once to Follow/Stay.
Double-Click to open an orders/options menu.


You can tell them stay nearby in fights, and/or not pursue fleeing enemies.
But, hey, they're just critters and don't always obey perfectly.

*Follow behavior*

Their AI is carefully scripted. Normally they wander and look at things.
If they fall behind, or if you start running, they will hurry up and follow closely.
They have catch up teleporting in case they get stuck.

If the player sneaks they will also sneak. If combat starts they will stop sneaking so they can move more freely.

*Combat and Death*

They all have an ability which will repair damaged stats.

They are "Almost-Essential" (tm) ;)
If knocked out they will stay that way until the fight is over. (Min 30 seconds)
This is more balanced than being Essential, more convenient then a resurrection kit or spell, and far more immersive than either.

If they get into a fight with a friend activating them is a "Down Girl/Boy" command and should stop it.

You can mark a target for them to attack with a special ranged spell.
Or you can shoot it with an arrow poisoned with special "Bait"
Each critter comes with a bait processor so you can brew bait from common ingredients.

Upgrade:

If upgrading from Version 1.5 or later, no special action is required.
If upgrading from 1.2 or prior you must make a clean save.

Clean save procedure:
1. De-activate the mod, load, save and exit.
2. Activate the new version, load and play.

Changing colors when Inara is far away or not in follow mode may cause problems.
