Dirtier Bandits and Varied Chests by Nernie
September-07-09, Ver. 1

This mod is for anyone who wishes that the bandits in Oblivion were a little dirtier, and more distinct from the richer fighting classes. It alters them such that they don't have ever-higher levels of fancy armour to match your own, and Instead they wear low-level fur and leather armour, as well as new rough leather armour, new rusty chainmail armour (and in the case of the bandit bosses at higher levels, a darker retexture of the standard leather armour). There are also new blood-spattered pants, and stained pants and shirts.

The bandits still equip weapons from the same levelled lists. I didn't want to under-power them too drastically. The marauders I've left alone.

Many of the bandit camps - about half of them - have been hussied up to include more varied signs of life. Meat roasting over fires, and the like.

There is also a new expansive set of chest retextures, so that the chests in the dungeons don't always look the same (much less the same as the chests in the nice clean middle and upper class houses). I tried to keep these retextures subtle, and in keeping with the look of the game, while still being visibly distinct.

And, in boss chests, there is a small chance of finding one of six new gems (black pearl, skyrim turquoise, opal, argonian emerald, black diamond, hist amber), to add a little extra incentive to getting to the ends of those dungeons (the gems are levelled, so only after level ten do all of them become available.

REGARDING COMPATIBILITY - These are the specific changes that this mod makes:

-Creates new levelled lists of armour and clothing, and replaces the old lists in the bandits' inventory. The bandits themselves, and the levelled monster lists that use them, are otherwise unchanged.

-Replaces the texture files for standard dungeon chests, and loot sacks. Dungeons themselves have not been altered, nor have the specific chests or sacks inside of them. Some outdoor camps, however, HAVE been changed, with chests and sacks added.

-Creates a new levelled list of gems, and adds them to standard boss chests (again, specific chests within areas aren't altered).

Installation: Unzip, and place the esm file, and the meshes and textures folders, in your Oblivion/Data folder. Overwrite any folders or files, if prompted.

Please let me know if you encounter any bugs. Hope you enjoy.
