Say hello to Kajsa.

Her name comes from Ysatters-Kajsa, a troll is Scandinavia mythology.
She is high quality companion creature with several innovative features.

When you activate the mod you will be given the summon power.
You must use this spell to call her into the game world the first time.

Control:

You can tell her to follow, stay, or go to a home location that you define.
If you want her back there is a summon power, or a quest arrow so you can locate her.

My creatures have a unique Multi-Click control system.
If you click Use on her once it toggles Follow/Stay.
If you Double-Click it opens an orders/options menu.

If she gets into a fight with a friend, the first click should stop it.
If the fight is with a hostile enemy you probably won't be able to get her attention.

If you want her to attack something you can mark the target with a special ranged spell.
Or you can shoot it with an arrow poisoned with special Troll Bait
A bait proccessor is provided so you can brew troll bait from common ingredients.

Follow Behavior:

Her follow AI is carefully scripted.
If she is very near the player she will wander slightly and look at things.
If she starts to fall behind, or if you start running, she will run up to you and follow closely.
If she falls significantly behind, she will speed up.
If she gets stuck far behind, as so often happens to followers in Oblivion, she will quietly teleport in behind you when you aren't looking.
If the player sneaks she will sneak also.

Combat and Death

Kajsa is "Almost-Essential" (tm) ;)
If she is defeated in a fight she will stay knocked out until the fight is over, then she will recover.
This is more balanced than just being Essential, more convenient then a resurrection kit or spell, and far more immersive than either.
If she is incapacitated outside of combat she will recover in about 30 seconds.

She has a modified combat style and is somewhat more lethal then a standard troll.
You can tell her try to stay nearby in fights, and/or not pursue fleeing enemies.
But she's just a troll and doesn't always obey perfectly.

Health, Stats and Abilities

She is always 2 levels less than the player, within minimum 2, maximum 42.
Her stats are set using the leveled "Hard" and "Very Hard" Azhklan Trolls as references

She has water walking because trolls have no swim animations.
Trolls have a natural health regeneration, Kajsa heals faster than normal trolls.
She has an ability which will repair any Damage Attribute effects.
She has several small resistance perks to make her more suited to heavy combat, but retains a normal troll's heavy weakness to fire.

No special proccess needed if upgrading from v1.5

If upgrading from version 1.2 or prior you must do a cleansave.

1. De-activate the mod, load, save and exit.
2. Activate the new version, load and play.

3/25/2010 - 1.6 - Bugfix

Added workaround for engine bug which sometimes caused critter to become stuck and have messed up stats after being knocked out.
Altered catch up teleport so it's most likely to drop critter behind player.

Shelved wonky "play dead tactic" concept for now.
