This mod puts some new fun in the game.

ToyBall is a new activity for the player in "The Elderscrolls IV: Oblivion". You will find a collection of them in Anvil, at the docks, in the potato patch behind the Harborside Warehouse (SnapShot1). Just open the gate and they will roll out to play (SnapShot2). Pick them up and take them with you. Then get them out when you want to play. You can kick them, roll them down hills and watch where they go, throw them off clifs (SnapShot3) or whatever you like. They float (usually) (SnapShot4) and bounce fairly well. If you swim up under it you can biff it out of the water. They are a lot of fun to play around with.

You pick them up with the space bar.Then, to get them out, shift and click the one(s) you want to play with. You will find them in the Misc section of your items menu.

Once you have one (or more) out:

You kick it by running into it. (an advanced level player can really launch one (SnapShot5))
You fling it by grabbing it with the Z key and practicing the throw. It is a flick of the mouse and letting go of Z.

It is a good idea to save before you get them out so you can reload if you lose one. But if you lose one or more for some reason, you can get them back like this:

1. Run the Oblivion launcher (or Mod Manager) and DESELECT the ToyBall.esp mod.
2. Then load the game and SAVE, and exit out.
3. Then RE-SELECT the mod and go in again.
4. Load your saved game.
5. All six ToyBall toys will be back in Anvil, with the spuds.

Installation Process

Extract the data folder in the BrothersBlank_ToyBall.7z archive to c:\program files\bethesda softworks\oblivion\. The ToyBall.esp file and the meshes, textures and Icons will be put in their own places. If you are asked to overwrite files under meshes and textures, select 'yes to all'. This can most likely only happen if you have installed it before... Then make sure you select the ToyBall.esp mod before you go in.

Bugs and Glitches

No incompatibilities are known, unless someone has re-done that potato patch. Let us know if you find any problems.

The gravity runs a little funny in-game. Sometimes a ball will stop on a hill and then start rolling again.

Also,

Sometimes a ball will stay under water. This usually happens if it has dropped a long way. If you swim towards it, it will begin to float to the surface.

And...

What goes up does not necessarily come down. If you biff a ball straight out of the water it may stay in the air. It can be a whole new quest just getting it back. But you can reload the mod too, if you wish.
