I have place nothing in the game world of Oblivion to minimize incompatibility. All things I done are in the world I made. Even the portal to my world is place in a book to be added to the player when the mod is loaded. The portal to the cities in Cyrodiil used the original X marker in the game.

When the mod is loaded, you will receive a book. Read it to get a spell to summon a portal to Auriel's retreat. The portal will not disappear after summoning, so you might want to select a proper location for the summoning. Though re-summoning the portal should allow you to place it somewhere else, you need to leave the area then come back for the portal to reappear.

In this new land, you will find houses to live in and merchants to buy and sell things. In the arena you can summon and fight creatures. The bodies of the creatures are set to disappear after a while, so you may want to loot the fallen quickly.

There is also a library where I have placed books from Oblivion and shivering isle. I have also added books from the earlier elderscroll series like Morrowind. These books I acquire from COBL - common oblivion. A few I added myself from the Imperial Library or The unofficial Elderscroll pages.
There are portals and spell crafting and enchantment altars in a temple. I have also added spells like mark and recall and summon storage to be sold by merchants. Use mark and recall spell carefully, they may affect certain quests. Some other spells available are summoning arrow spell and Heaven Wrath spell. I made none of these spells, the credits belong to their authors.

This is my first mod please be gentle in your commends.

1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary.
3. Copy files to (install folder)\Oblivion\Data\
4. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', and place a checkmark beside the .esp file.

Due to issues with loading order with the mod with different players, some of the lod items do not load properly. Please download TES4LODGen by ElminsterAU
After installing the mod (Really AEVWD is recommended), use the generator to do the lod again. Note that lods are included with my mod, but they don’t all appear in game as I have hoped. The lod items will be placed at data/distantlod in the game. Should you wish to remove them affer install my mod, just delete them.
Please be reminded that COBL is required for my mod for the Temple of Ink and paper for the books and the Ingredient sorter.

1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, and uncheck the .esp file.
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.

There is only the Auriel's_Retreat.esp file and Auriel's_Retreat.bsa file. All meshes and textures needed and not belong to the original game is added to the Bsa excluding those from the other authors.


This is first mod, so there may be errors, but I do not think that there will be any incompatibility issues. If there is, please inform me.
I have duplicate level lists and creatures for the arena and had not modified and mesh without duplicating it first.
Strong and overriding Weather mod may affect my own unique weather, destroy my misty illusions.

Known Issues or Bugs
Once the "statues" in the arena disappeared. I know not why. If that happens again, do inform me. The local map does not work (won’t show the arrow), but I have added 3 world maps into the game for the bigger worlds.
Those with slower machines will experience low fps in certain areas.
