Basic Description:
Experience the most breathtaking view of Cyrodil from atop the majestic White Gold Tower! Your wide eyes will thank your aching feet when you ascend to the summit of the Imperial city. Enjoy a relaxing atmosphere as you gaze out across Lake Rumare, spotting in the distance five of the Empire's greatest cities- can you find them all? Head to the second floor of the Imperial Palace and climb your way to the best seats in the Empire!

I browsed TESNexus a couple times, looking for a nice view from the top of the Empire, but tho I found plenty to choose from, nothing stood out- too many gimmicks and mood-killers (seems Dive Rock isn't the only place the Adoring Fan gets punted from XD), or mods without screenshots (not gonna waste my time >.). So I popped open my own CS and got to work, my plan being to make a simple place to relax and enoy an exhilirating view and a nice breeze while browsing my book collections.

Mana blooms and mushrooms adorn the centerpiece tree, with butterflies and lightning bugs flitting about between them. Several benches line the ring of the tower summit, but one can go right up to the guardrails if they wish to get the best view of all. The Palace Guard is always on duty, with a day shift and a night shift to provide a sense of safety. At nigt, the mystical tree's leaves pulse with a soft glow, adding further atmosphere to one of the most incredible spots in Tamriel.

Notes:
I've added pathgridding to the top of the tower to allow for changing of the guard and companion movement (tested with my mage's pet wisp- larger companions may have trouble). Collision boxes and a guard rail should prevent accidental dives, tho an apprentice acrobat could probably vault the rail should they wish to experience a little base-jumping (found this out the hard way, of course :P). Added a map-marker too- look for a landmark icon in the middle of IC if you wanna take a quicker peek.

Perfomance should be similar to the rest of the Tamriel worldspace (which is where the summit is located), tho looking down towards the city seems to drop my FPS quite a bit. Better machines may get better results, as I run a slightly dated rig.

_

Installation: Unzip the 'DJZ White Gold Topper.esp' file into your Oblivion\data\ folder. Check it in the Oblivion launcher or your preferred mod manager. I've used all Vanilla meshes, and I don't think there's anything from Shivering Isles in here.

Uninstallation: You'll first want to get your character and any items off the Tower summit (the tower has no collision by default, so you WILL fall thru without the mod). Then simply uncheck the .esp in your load list.

_

Incompatibilites:
It'll decidedly interfere with any other White Gold Tower-topping mods, but the tower itself is untouched (assuming nothing got nudged while I wrestled with CS).

TES Construction Set
Wrye Bash v271 (most awesome TES utility EVER)
