    I'm having trouble figuring out Dynamic Music System, so (per forli's recommendation) I downloaded ConScribe to try to get a better look under the hood.  However, when I went to install it, ConScribe flat out didn't work.  I played the .dll in my Data/OBSE/Plugins folder and ran the game to let it set up the Conscribe.ini file... only it didn't. There is no .ini file, the conscribe.log file is about 5 lines and 1 KB, and I'm unable to use the 'Scribe' console function to get any information out of my system. I have no idea what's going on, but it's quite frustrating, and I'd appreciate your help in letting me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

      Here is the default text of Conscribe.ini
      [ConsoleLog]
      ScribeMode=Static
      Includes=
      Excludes=
      [General]
      TimeFormat=%m-%d-%Y %H-%M-%S
      LogBackups=-1
      RootDirectory=Default
      SaveDataToCoSave=1

    Note the description is a tad wrong for the latests version:

    > Console logs are saved to a folder named “ConScribe Logs” in your Oblivion root directory and each log is named in accordance to the time of its creation.

    It actually is in the Oblivion Data directory, not the root directory.

    This is great! I needed either this or Pluggy for the mod that preserves my Darnified settings. Since I've read nothing but bad things about Pluggy, I gave this a shot, and it has worked flawlessly with no problems. Now I don't need to fiddle with Darn every time I open up the game.

    Cheers!

      Hell yeah, this is the endorsement I was looking for - I also checked out pluggy and this to see which one to use, this by far has the best reviews.

    Very useful tool, thank you very much shadeMe !

    I have one question: I'm not able to record to file the output seen at video of a SetDebugText <id> command, is there a way to achieve this ?

    Thank you in advance for help.

    Extremely useful,don't leave home without it!
    I haven't tried the latest version but I've become too cozy with the one I'm using. No doubt the latest version works just as fine though.

    Thanks a bunch shademe!

    Shademe,
    You're a one hell of a modder.
    Both your CS extender and Conscribe have made my life oodles easier!

    I tend to take them for granted now that I have em, but I just wanted to stop by and say they're appreciated!

    The Discussion Thread link on Description page is broken (Bethsoft have done a lot of that lately) and should now point to http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1029117-rel-conscribe/

    Where one can find (on page # 8 ) that the 'ConScribe Logs' directory has been relocated to the oblivionData folder in version 9.

    Took me hours to find that out.
