This also fixed the menu prompt not being clickable on 4k.
Open said XML file and on the very first line, delete the string "<clips>&true;</clips>". Toss that naughty bit of code away and you should be all gooch.
Nevermind, this doesn't work :/. Silly of me not to check properly.
This mod straight up does not work. I installed it using MO2, activated it, installed MenuQue, and there is no button, and not even hovering over a spell and pressing "I" works. And since everyone else is agreeing this mod is broken, just avoid it and don't bother.
I found why it didn't work for me: I was playing at 1440p resolution. If I play at 1080p, it works fine. Now I need to find how to make it work for this resolution.
No, I tried to tweak the .xml files but I couldn't guess what the values meant. It could be an issue with MenuQue also, but I have no idea. I hope a more knowledgable modder will come by and help, because I would really like to use that one too.
Xbox forward large would be the button that we are trying to edit right?I tweaked with the height and width values but it didn't do anything. Is there something here im not seeing?
Kyoma recently added a MenuQue repository to his github. He's probably cleaning up the code for open-sourcing at least, if not a full fixing of this problem. I believe the problem is with MenuQue.
I have changed string in Data\menus\prefabs\iconlist.xml <image name=CSI_Show><id>&generic;</id><target>&true;</target><filename>Menus\Icons\icon_xbox_forward_large.dds</filename><depth>5</depth><locus>&true;</locus><clips>&true;</clips><clicksound>5</clicksound><width>112</width><height>96</height><x><copy src=magic_effectivness trait="x"/><add>225</add></x><y><copy src=magic_effectivness trait="y"/><sub>10</sub></y><alpha><copy>155</copy><add><copy>100</copy><onlyif><copy src=me() trait="mouseover"/><eq>1</eq></onlyif></add></alpha><visible>&true</visible></image> (changed <width>112</width><height>96</height>). And now i can see button to set custom icon with Darkdarnified UI.
Every time I try to install this there seems to be a different problem. This time I can't figure out why 99% of the spell icons aren't retextured. Everything is installed, enabled, etc.

I have an issue, when I click the button to open the side menu with all the icons it will not close when I click it again... is there a way to force this menu to close?
Uninstalled this the first time it fired off on it's own during combat. EDIT: I want to point out, I'm not saying the mod is bad, just not for me. Maybe it's because I'm on controller, seems harder to accidentally change your spell icons unintentionally if you are on a KB&M like most people, huh? With Steam making use of controller on games like this easier though, it's a more and more common occurrence, so be aware if you use a controller this mod can be "to easy" to use sometimes.
And uh, it might sound like a small complaint, but man was I confused when my basic healing spell icon suddenly turned into a health potion icon, which happened to be right next to the actual health potion on my quick wheel! Such confusion.
I know this is a year too late - but check the ini file for the icon assignment key - you mistakenly hit it to assign the icon. Nothing wrong with the mod - you just need to change the icon assignment key to avoid this issue.

But I did find this line in the xml file:
<image name=CSI_Show><id>&generic;</id><target>&true;</target><filename>Menus\Icons\icon_xbox_forward_large.dds</filename><depth>5</depth><locus>&true;</locus><clips>&true;</clips><clicksound>5</clicksound><width>56</width><height>48</height><x>

Custom Spell Icons update, much improved courtesy of miguick.
So... which one should I download it? can I install this mod through Wrye Bash, too???
MenuQue actually seems to be required to get this to work.
