About this mod

Got a fancy hairstyle and want to show it off, but don\'t want to lose the protection of your helm or hood? Then Helm Toggle is right for you! Requires OBSE v0017

Permissions and credits
English:
Helm Toggle is a simple mod requested by Mantear on The Nexus Forums. He was looking for a good, sturdy mod to make so you can wear your helm without having to see your helm. I took his request and turned it into this quick, easy, lightweight mod.

Requires OBSE v0017

How it works:

1. Upon starting the game on a new character or a save file, you gain a new Lesser Power known as Helm Toggle.
2. Put on your Helm or Hood.
3. Cast Helm Toggle
4. Your Helm should become invisible, allowing your glorious hair to be seen by the world.
5.a. To make your Helm visible again, simply recast the spell. It will be unequipped and made visible again. Simply put it back on.
5.b. On putting on a new helm, you will notice that it is visible, you will have to cast Helm Toggle again which will make the new helm invisible and unequip the old helm and make it visible again.

I know it is tedious to have to cast the spell each time you put on a new helm, but it's the only way to toggle the helm's visibility safely, as well as making it the players decision what items are visible and when. If I find a way that is just as easy to use and safe, but more convenient, I'll update the mod to use it.

Installation:
1. Download this mod and the latest version of the OBSE if you do not have it.
OBSE is located here:
http://obse.silverlock.org/
2. Install OBSE if you need to, instructions found on it's download site.
3. Drag Helm Toggle.esp to Oblivion/Data
4. Open whatever you use to manage mods and activate it.
5. Load the game and play.

Uninstallation:
1. Delete Helm Toggle.esp (I'm not sure if having a helm toggled as invisible when you uninstall will effect the game afterwards, to be safe make sure all your helms are visible before uninstalling)

Known Issues:

The most common equip slot (Controls what is rendered when it is equipped) for a helm to fill is the Hair Slot, as this stops the rendering of Hair. This mod only affects items equipped to the Hair slot ONLY. This means that if an item is set to equip on a different slot, such as the head, it will not be changed by this mod. This isn't really a problem because any helm made by another mod that isn't equipped to the Hair slot won't stop the hair from rendering, so it won't look good, and you can bet the modder either noticed right away and fixed it, or got berated by comments for it.

In relation to that, any helm that takes up more then just the Hair slot (such as the Masque of Clavicus Vile, which equips to the Hair and Head slots) will not work with this either. Until there is an update in the OBSE functions that allows me to see what slots the item takes up, and set the slot usage back to it's original slots, this cannot and will not be changed.

I used Google Translate to translate the description, so if anyone is fluent in one of the languages in the Readme and English, and would like to PM me with a better translation, please feel free.
