Is there a specific reason the chest in the basement to the right close of the pathway to the Black Door is owned by the Mages Guild? If not can I just set it to be owned by nobody like everything else?
Played through and chest was never used so I'm gonna assume it was forgotten to be set un-owned. Seems all new windows aren't reflective/shinny like the other windows, they just appear dark?
Hello, Alamo's letter mentions "this document hereby states that the bearer is the sole owner and possessor of the domicile currently three house into the eastern edge of Cheydinhal". The "currently three house into the eastern edge" is a measure of distance, am I wrong?
Just want to confirm so I don't install something unnecessary: with BC Full (closed) and UL Cheydinhal Falls, do I need to install both sub-packages "02 Better Cities FULL Patch" and "03 UL Patch, Better Cities", or only one of them?
I see in the readme that both are shown in the load order list for use with Kvatch rebuilt (which I also have), but of course sometimes updated versions of mods make changes that conflict with previous patches, so I would appreciate verification that these patches & instructions are still valid.
Edit: apparently a little adjusting needs to be done. I found a couple small land tears that disappeared when I removed these patches.
Are you using the Better Cities-Unique Landscapes patch out of the UL Compatibility Patches Compilation? This may account for why Khet's patches aren't needed in your install.
I removed this mod for the time being, but when I tried it, yes I included that patch. The readme specifies to use these patches together, in a specific order, so I'm curious of your reasoning for why Khet's patches may not be needed?
1) If BC Full (Closed) and UL Cheydinhal Falls - Yes, you need both patches, because the BAH-BC patch moves the objects surrounding the house, and the BAH-BC-UL patch fixes only the landscape when all 3 mods are used together.
2) Where are the land tears? Both BC and UL have been updated since I made these patches, and I play so rarely that I've not even been able to check for continued compatibility in-game. I've checked in the CS, and I see one small one next to Llevana Nedaren's House, but sometimes it is hard to see everything from the CS. A screenshot would be most welcome, if you find other tears, and would help me update the patches faster.
3) The BC-UL patch is in addition to the two patches supplied in this mod, if all three mods are used together. Please follow load order instructions in Readme.
Alternately, if the landscape truly looks just fine without my landscape patch for the three mods, please tell me! I would be beyond delighted to have less patches.
There were two small land tears on either side of the house you mentioned, near both corners of the front foundation. I did take a couple screenshots, but don't know how to post them here (other than uploading as a user image). A few family members are currently playing the game and don't want me to change anything (did once & everyone had to restart because of a mistake I made!), but if I eventually have an opportunity I'll test it out, if there's any need to anymore.
I thought they might not have been needed because of the Edit in your original post, stating that the land tears disappeared when you removed the patches. I thought since BC & UL have been updated more recently than the patches here, that one of them may account for why you indicated the land tears had disappeared. Perhaps I misunderstood that line in your OP. Since you have Khettienna's attention, I will respectfully bow out. Good luck.
Ah, well, this mod doesn't change anything that might require a restart -- it's entirely cosmetic. But yes, either of you, please let me know if you try it without the landscape patches and it works well.
My thanks to you both for the clarifications! Large numbers of patches for so many mod combinations (not just this group) can sure get confusing!
RavenMind: Ok, now I understand! I also had to adjust the BOSS load order of one or two of the mods/patches to match the instructions for the mod combination I was using, so that may also have been a factor.
So, this is not compatible with the new Unique Landscapes? (they changed the name of the files, and also, there is now a merged file with all the UL mods at once). Could the patch be ported to those? EDIT: I made a quick test without any patches and it seemed to work well.
Eeep! I'll have a look next chance I get. Do you have it loading before or after the Better Cities plugin? Is it still bad if you reverse that order? Thanks for letting me know!
Well, putting the BC patch before Better Cities fixed the door issue (yay ) But that didn't eliminate the other issues that I didn't mention (sorry)
BC was updated recently and I guess whatever changed, overwrote your patch because the outside of the house still look abandoned. It seems the house was moved forward, because if I disable the house, I can see the rocks and flowers your mod added.
Okay, new BC patches are done! Let me know how they do?
I let Better Cities pretty much have the yard and fencing, but I dropped all of the rubble-type stuff underground and pulled some of my flowers and the walkway forward.
I know BC can have an issue with doors not moving properly because they are persistent references, so if the doors are stuck in their old spot in your save, try toggling Open Better Cities back and forth through the in-game menu (which should force them to update), or use console commands to disable/enable the doors.
Where can I find background of Alamo? I'm already a member of the DB for some time and have searched the house but didn't find anything. Am I missing something out?
And another question - will I have to killy Harry during the the certain quest? Will he get hostile if he'll see me obeying the orders of LL?
Harry will be on vacation during that certain quest, so you won't have to worry about him.
What you are looking for is in the sanctuary. It's not the answer to a great mystery or anything, it's just a little clue into Alamo's, err, circumstances.
One issue, BOSS puts Better Abandoned House _before_ Better Cities Full and the patch for BC has the master for Better Abandoned House _after_ Better Cities Full. It shows up orange in Wrye Bash. It seems to Bash fine, and I did put the patch after Better Cities Full as per the instructions.
edit: I'm a dope, I didn't follow the instructions correctly for load order. Note that the BOSS ordering will need to be updated because the Abandoned House needs to go after Better Cities Full now.

Thank you again for your report!
EDIT: Works perfectly! Thanks!
