Works great. I'm using Life Detected - Burst - Tiny - 1.esp, this option looks almost like it could have been in vanilla: doesn't easily give away who the creature is. When the target is moving, especially at darkened nights, you're not overwhelmed by it but still can see and aim at some wolf.
Obviously Skyrim did separate into Detect Life and Detect Dead, but I always kinda had my own idea of how it worked. I used the thought that when you detect an undead being, you are seeing the field of magic reanimating the body.
In my mind, life detect should be a puslating translucence. Like a thrum between walls, 'cause your listening for their pulse. Not detecting their life. But eh. Interesting mod, but too sparkly for my tastes.
It's not working and I have no clue why. I took the omod route and everything seemed to go smoothly. But I cast a life detect spell and I still get purpul fog. What could I have done wrong?
I'm so glad I found this! The vanilla shader really bugs me, but it's so damn useful. Seeing all that whirling purple can actually make me dizzy, or make me get motion-sick (faster than usual). Thanks!

Maybe some sort of incompatibility with another shader mod.
It sort of ruins the old fantasy D&>EQ idea I have of separation of Detect/Sense Undead spells, etc.
2 - moving visuals?
EDIT: Compatibility with Supreme Magicka can be achieved by setting this property to 3 in SupremeMagicka.ini:
Set SMDetectLifeOn to 3
