Sfon DeltaNovus LOD Fog For The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and Shivering Isles
--- -- -
Changes fog so that it covers distant objects. I made this because the far view distance made the world of Oblivion feel too small to me, and turning LOD completely off caused various problems.
It is intended to be used with LOD land on, but LOD trees and buildings off. The combined effect is a horizon that looks distant due to the lack of distant trees and buildings ruining the illusion. It does not turn off LOD trees or buildings for you, so to get the intended effect you will need to do that manually through the video or launcher options.
This mod does not directly improve performance. Just because something is covered with fog does not mean the game does not need to deal with it. Turning off LOD trees and buildings does improve performance, but no more so with than without this mod.
