      Very late reply but in case somebody comes here wondering the same thing, you can change it in the ini so it uses normal messages rather than message boxes.

      set kCWWQuest.showWitnesses to 1

      Set that in the ini file.

    hey under necessities it has "Source", and a dead link?? can you either name the file , or fix the link? i have noticed nexus links are almost all dead links the last few months.

      Do you mean "Required files"?
      I've not added any "Required files" before just now because the last time I did anything with Oblivion was before Nexus had an entry for "Required files".
      Anyway, as I stated, I added one required file: OBSE.
      I don't think this mod requires anything else.
      But just to be safe, skim through the read-me or the Description.

    Had to uninstall this to stop companions from reporting crimes. Could have been a mod conflict.I also tried the tweaked version that ignores people with responsibility less than 30 but that didn't work at all.

      Well, obviously your particular companions had a responsibility higher than 30. This is the only explanation that makes sense. Like everything, its a value specific for each npc tweakable in tes4edit. (maybe it has to be tweaked in the CS idk.)

    Does not play well with put it in its place, enhanced grabbing. This makes picking something up a crime again.

      I have played both mods without problems. I think you have a load order/mod conflict elsewhere.

    It's broken (despite the constant pop-ups stating otherwise).

    I went into a building with 2 (or more) people in it, killed all, still ended up with bounty.

    How did the crime get reported if all witnesses are dead within seconds?

    I'll try another crime/bounty mod and prey to god that fixes this.

    Edit: After 25+ re-tests of the above scenario, some times the end bounty would incorrect.
    It usually is.

    I'm not sure if its cause I killed them so fast or not.

      Yup, it's because you killed them quickly. The mod runs in the background. It tries to keep up, but, as with all other mods, will not.

      But it works if you play as a "silent thief" rather than a "murderous berserker".

    For the people who have the problem where guards still know what crime you did, even though you killed all the witnesses, use the Hear No Evil mod on top of this mod. They go really well together.

    Is it possible to make this mod work for npc's as well. I have an npc companion and when he commits a crime, his bounty is not removed when the witness has been killed.

    This mod doesn't seem to be working for me. I killed the guy watching over the stables just West of Tamriel. There was no one there to witness it since it was in the middle of the night. I then stole one of the horses, started riding West over the bridge and as soon as I got close enough to a guard on horseback, he stopped me and tried arresting me for my crimes. Don't know how he was aware if there were no witness to my crime. Any advice on what I can do to get this mod working properly?

    Again another great addon for realism by kuertee, thanks for the hard work dude.

    Bug Report: I've assaulted someone and it gets reported. The guard comes and gives me a menu pay gold etc. I hit the cancel(goodbye) button and the guard just walks off back to his post.
