There seems to be a serious lack of rogue-themed houses for players who like to live on the lamb. Not anymore. An old friend from Morrowind happens to be leaving town on the day of your escape from the Imperial Prison, and he's leaving you his safe house in the meantime. This isn't a magically free luxury home or a high-end equipment treasure trove. This is a small, gritty thief's abode that holds a number of secrets you can use to your advantage. A hidden underground chamber, traps, even a secret escape tunnel help you evade the law in this house.

My goal with this mod was to both provide a realistic home for thief and outlaw characters that could aid the player at the start of the game without overpowering them, and to combine a housing mod with a dungeon mod. The house comes attached with a hidden escape tunnel that acts as a newbie-friendly dungeon. The cave network is not meant to be maze-like or challenging on it's own, but it is designed to be entertaining and to actually aid the player in escaping a powerful foe (aside from the few weak creatures already in the cave). The house itself is situated in the Great Woods off the path to Chorrol, well out of the law's sight. But if the Imperial Legion does come knocking on your door, you have a few methods to get the drop on them before you even need to consider the escape tunnel.

Through testing this mod, I can assure you that running through the dark tunnel with a troll at your back is one of the most intense experiences available to this game!

Installation
------------
Simply drop the esp. file into your Oblivion/Data directory and check the mod in Oblivion's Data Files screen. No additional files are needed.

Glitches/Conflicts
------------------
Safe House is compatible with mods that broadly effect the wilderness area it is situated in (-7,12) such as Natural Environments. Any mods that create structures or change terrain directly in this area, such as a Unique Landscapes mod, will likely alter access to the house.

The small door to the Escape Tunnel seems to be difficult to trigger. If you cannot use it, slowly walk backwards about three feet from the door until the door icon appears.
