***Update: Uploaded TGA versions of the textures which hold quality a bit better. It is also a smaller download. Enjoy :)

A small chainmail texture resource for modders. Features each chainmail that appears in Oblivion.

----------
Features:
----------

1. 2048x2048 jpg files that are tileable and are meant to supplement your texture when making a new texture and wanting it to match vanilla assets.

2. Also includes a tiled version of a copper chainmail picture I found on the internet on [CG Textures] (http://cgtextures.com/).

Does NOT include:

1. Grayscale alpha versions for normal maps (what allows you to give the chainmail gleam).

2. Normal maps.

-------
NOTES:
-------

These are not perfectly generated. I used a program called ImageSynth 2 and didn't get too detailed in generating the files as this is primarily a texture to be inserted and chopped up into another texture. It just makes it easier to add large blocks of chainmail, as it requires a bit of work to get good tiling chainmail if you just pull from one of Bethesda's textures and manually work it until it fits for you.

I used to manually do chainmail for my texturing and wanted an easier way to do it so I made these after I obtained ImageSynth 2 and realized just how easy it would be.

CREDITS
--------

-MadCat221 for some amazing normal maps to match these textures.
-Bethesda for the original textures.
-ImageSynth 2 for allowing me to make nice seamless textures (http://www.luxology.com/whatismodo/imageSynth/)
For an example of what it is capable of, see http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b9/bchick222/before_and_after.jpg
-Photoshop for cropping the original textures into a sample
-[CG Textures] (http://cgtextures.com/) for the copper chainmail image

USAGE
--------

Free to use, no need to credit (though it would be nice).
