About this mod

This mod tracks whenever you read a book and adds the word \"(Read)\" to its title. If you encounter a copy of this book in the future, you will instantly know if you\'ve already read it, just by moving your crosshairs over it (or by looking at its title in a container\'s inventory).

Description:
This mod tracks whenever you read a book and adds the word "(Read)" to its title. If you encounter a copy of this book in the future, you will instantly know if you've already read it, just by moving your crosshairs over it (or by looking at its title in a container's inventory). Now you can quickly scan entire bookshelves, and only take the books that are new to you. This is a huge time-saver, if you like to collect books, or if you want to learn skills from books, but can't remember every book you've already read. This should work with any book, including books from mods. It doesn't alter any book scripts, or make any other changes to the books.

It should be noted that there are some books in the game with multiple versions. Usually the only difference is cosmetic (i.e. different binding, different price, etc.); sometimes there will be a special version with a script applied to it. Sometimes there's no difference at all (Biography of Barenziah, v 3). So, if you read a book, and it gets marked as "Read," and then you later come across that book, and it's unmarked - this is the most likely reason.

Installation:
The archive contains a normal and OMOD version. If you use the OBMM, simply copy the OMOD to your OBMM mod folder, then activate it from OBMM.

If you don't use OBMM, extract the archive, and copy the .esp file to your Oblivion data folder. Enable the .esp, and you're ready to go.

UPDATING (from a version earlier than 1.4):
This mod has been completely rewritten. It no longer requires "Pluggy." If you are updating from a previous version, please do the following: First disable the mod. Then load your saved game without the mod. Then save your game. Next, overwrite the old .esp file with the new version, activate it, then load your game. Any book you previously marked will have to be marked again. BUT, this version is far more reliable and stable, so hopefully you should never have to do anything like this again.

Change log:
v1.6Removed the code that closed your inventory after reading a book. Special thanks to d4v3 for telling me how to refresh the inventory screen, without closing it.

v1.5Completely automated the book tracking. Now, just read a book, and it's marked! No more dragging books into the Book Tracker. Huzzah!

v1.4Figured out an entirely new way of tracking the books. This mod was completely rewritten and no longer requires Pluggy. Also fixed the issue of the Book Tracker being marked as "Read."

v1.3Discovered a bug that added "(Read)" to the Book Tracker itself. Fixed it so the mod wouldn't retain this change when you loaded a game, but have not yet discovered the underlying cause. Will release another version once it's completely fixed.

v1.2Added automatic marking for books you read in the game world. Books in your inventory still must be put in the Book Tracker to be marked (due to a limitation in OBSE).

v1.1Since Oblivion wouldn't incorporate your book title changes into your Save file, and they would essentially revert to their default states whenever you loaded a Save Game, I utilized an OBSE plug-in called "Pluggy," which allowed me to store data that could be retreived when load your games. Now, the mod functions like I hoped/thought it would in version 1.0.

v1.0Initial release. Basically worthless; I apologize for the 5 or so people who downloaded it, before I caught its fatal flaw and pulled it.
