About this mod

Various Patches to make other mods work with Francesco\'s or fix annoying errors. Many made by Francesco, Strategy Master, Deathless Aphrodite, or myself. Currently Hosted on my 4shared page and the links keep getting fudged.

Permissions and credits
This is for a bunch of little and not so little files hosted on 4shared. Most of these were made by Francesco and rescued by Przemo3642, Qbit, myself, or other Frans users. I'm putting them here because my 4shared page has a habit of losing files. Please read the directions for how these should be used. In most if not all cases these plug require the original mod that they are meant to patch.

Edits to clean up files and description.

Patches By Francesco, and How to use them:

- Fine Weapons, install original Fine Weapons mod, replace the original esp with this one (Original Mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7317 )
expanded notes for those who don't understand: If you are using the Fine Weapons mod by windsurfer and would like to use it with Frans please download this patch and replace the esp that comes with the original mod.

- Rusty Items, install original Rusty Items mod, replace the original esp with this one (Original Mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7190 )
expanded notes for those who don't understand: If you are using the Rusty Items mod by windsurfer and would like to use it with Frans please download this patch and replace the esp that comes with the original mod.

- Dark Green Glass, install original Dark Green Glass mod, replace the original esp with this one (Original Mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2996 )
expanded notes for those who don't understand: If you are using the Dark Green Glass mod by spazizoner and would like to use it with Frans please download this patch and replace the esp that comes with the original mod.

- TNR, you do not need the original TNR esp, just load this one after my optional files. (This is included for completeness. It is based on an older TNR version. To use the newer TNR please use Wrye Bash. The most current TNR can be found here: http://www.stephanewuttunee.net/tnr_home.html)
Expanded Notes: This patch is based on an OLD build of the mod. You can use Wrye's tool to merge the face data from newer versions into your bashed patch. You can get the new versions from that download link. Or there's TNR-COBL races versions that come with COBL 1.55 and above. The COBL versions are what I'm using. Again Wrye Bash merges the face data so that this does not override Frans NPC stat tweaks. I recommend using Wrye Bash.

- Harvest Containers, download and install the original Harvest Containers mod, replace the esp with the one provided here, load it after All Frans optional files. (newest version of Harvest Containers (V. 0.99.10) will work with this Comp patch. This update has MESH files that have been corrected to fix a couple of problems. Please download the new version for the updated meshes. You an get it here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3979 )
Expaned Notes: Really I don't know what else to say here. If you use Harvest Containers make sure you download the latest one, and if you use Frans's lock tweaks and chest loot tweaks then download this patch and use this esp instead of the one that comes with the mod.

Patches Created Strategy Master:

SI Dark Seducer Weapon Fix (Fixes the high level item spawns for the dark seducer so that they yield the correct maces and swords intead of golden saint weapons.)
expanded notes: If you are playing the SI version of Frans there's an issue with the high level Dark Seducers. By default they use the Golden Saint weapons. If you see this behavior then you'll need this patch to correct it. It will make them use their own weapons instead.

-NEW-
Chest menu fixes- fixes to the House Chest Loot Menu Configuration and the Dungeon Chest Loot Menu Configuration. This bug has been identified in the full OptionalFiles.esp. The problem was some options on the menu changed the wrong variable. These are only minor fixes and are only a problem if you use frans config menus a lot. If you notice a problem with the unmerged plugs you can use this to fix but those have not been identified to have the issue.
Extract and activate the respected plugins if you have Dungeon Chest Loot active and/or the House Chest Loot Optional files active. Ensure they load after those two plugins
Expanded Notes: Again, this is an optional fix for an issue that you may or may not have occur (I've not encountered it but my plugs are not merged either). If you don't change the config menu for this then you can skip this patch.

OBSE Frans Menu plugin- This modifies frans to use an ini to be able to configure all the settings. It works such that on a new game the settings of the ini are read and used. On existing games use the menu to change and modify settings. If you want to re-read or activate the settings of the ini file you have to access the Load/Reset settings menu of frans and either choose "Load" or "Reset". Other minor script changes:
Updating the No Running Backwards to a simple OBSE script which can be turned on and off in the ini.
Also with credit to Simbacca I implemented his Luck Based Loot plugin that can also be activated in the ini and settings modified with greater control.

For Install Extract all files into Oblivion/Data folder and load after all fran files.

Make sure you are using the latest stable version of OBSE found at http://obse.silverlock.org/ to use this OBSE dependent plug.
Expanded Notes: If you use OBSE and would prefer to not have to use the startquest command to get the menus then this is the way to go. If you don't use OBSE then it won't do you much good.

Patch created by Deathless Aphrodite:
Seducer Script Fix (This new version of the fix, uploaded 1/1/08, fixes the habit of the transforming seducers disappearing on you after you reload a save)
expanded notes: This is not for DARK SEDUCERS added by SI, but for Seducers added by Frans Creatures. If you are having them spawn invisible, disappear when killed, fail to transform... then this script fix should correct the problem. Or you can use the "no Seducers" plug. MMM's seducers have this fix bundled in and don't have this problem.

Patches By dev_akm and CorePC
MOBS_Knights.esp
this small plug created for FCOM gives the weapons from Knights of the Nine MOBS stats. CorePC created a standalone version that can be used by anyone using MOBS. Mirrored here with permission. (If you use the Knights UOMP you might prefer the merged UOMP version detailed below).

expaned notes: If you are using MOBS and you have Knights of the Nine then this stand-alone plug will bring the stats for the weapons into line with the other MOBS items in the game. This plug does not level the quest and does not have the unofficial patch info bundled into it. If you use the UOMP for this you might want that version instead. Read on for that.

Patches created by dewshine:
USIP comp patch 1.4
USIP MOBS comp patch 1.4
USIP MOBS FCOM 1.4
- (All fixed to add flee block to one of the scripts)
Download the original USIP and replace the esp with the one of your choice.
These are my unofficial comp patches for USIP version 1.4.
Books are per Frans changes. MOBS has weapon records updated, Creature and NPC's updated to use Frans tables... download and install the original USIP 1.4 and then replace the esp with the version of your choice.
The MOBS version should work with FCOM if the optional Leveled Quests-SI only esp is used too.

Update: if you don't want the Amber/Madness Ore overhaul optional file then use the USIP-MOBS-FCOM file. Hehe.

expanded notes: There are several version of the USIP listed here. These replace the original plug. So there's a MOBS version for Frans that uses the info from his quest changes (use with FCOM requires downloading the SI quests patch for FCOM). There's a non-Mobs version for that too. And because not all FCOM users want the SI changes made by Frans there's a special FCOM version of the MOBS patch just for them. Look at your load order and choose which one you need and only download that one.

UOP 3.2.0 comp patch ~ fixed.
MOBS and non-MOBS, Download the original UOP 3.2.0 and the then replace the .esp with the version of your choice. Because of the new sound fixes both versions are named the same as the original and are packed inside marked folders. Pleas chose the version that matches your weapon settings. Note - bashed patch tags are included just like the original.

expanded Notes: this is the comp patch for the unofficial Oblivion Patch. It replaces the original esp that comes with the UOP. Like the USIP there's a MOBS version for those that have the MOBS stats enabled and there's a non-MOBS version for those that don't. Install the one you need for your Frans install. FCOM users should use the MOBS version (If the FCOM page directs you here to get it).

UOMP 1.5
MOBS stats merged into UOMP's for Knights of the Nine, Thieve's Den, Vile Lair, Mehrunes Razor, and Battlehorn Castle. Original MOBS work completed by dev-akm and the FCOM team for Knights, and by Yorkmaster for the others. the standalone Knights plug is mirrored here with permission from CorePC. The standalone versions of the others can be found at http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19203.
To use the MOBS versions of the UOMP please download the original UOMP and replace the plugs with these versions. Use Wrye Bash or OBMM to place below the DLC they belong to.
There are no non-MOBS versions of the UOMP, as only weapon records needed to be altered. If you don't use MOBS stick with the original UOMP.
Expanded notes: These do not level the quests. They only add MOBS stats to the weapons. If you don't use MOBS and/or don't have these official mods then you don't need these. However, if you do have these mods and you do run the unofficial patches and you want them MOBS balanced this will give you that.

Note: All unofficial patches are now named the same as the original patch they replace to preserve sound fixes. If you find a file for the UOP or the USIP that is NOT named exactly the same as the original esp it replaces you should 1) rename it to the correct name (either Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp or Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch.esp) and 2) tell me so I can correct it if I've overlooked it. Thank you. :)

Additional mini patch:
UOP-Frans Optional Files (Quests) patch. Requires the UOP patch of your choice and either Francesco's Optional Files.esp or Francesco's Optional Leveled Quests.esp. File now has two esps, named the same but inside different folders, pick one to match your setup. Updated for UOP 3.2.0 and has Frans guard stats now too.
expanded notes: this is totally optional. It applies a couple of UOP fixes to Frans optional quests plug. I play without it, but since a few folks asked for it I made it. If you want to use it, great. If you don't then it's not game breaking (there's a minor name change on a silver glass, a monster stat tweak, and a missing s on a goblin clan name, mainly. Oh and the guards are updated to the optional leveled quests stats).

Additional files by Francesco (located and provided by Qbit):
Francesco's No Spiders
Removes giant spiders from the creatures add-on
expanded notes: Don't like Spiders? this will remove them from the spawn lists.

Francesco's No Seducers
Removes Seducers from the creatures add-on
expanded notes: Seducers causing problems? don't want them in the game? This will remove them from the spawn lists.

Francesco's No Reduced Backwards Running Speed
Removes the Reduced Backwards Running speed from the MOBS version of the mod.
expanded notes: If you use the OBSE plug you don't need this. If you are not using the MOBS version of Frans you don't need this. This is only for those folks that don't want the ability to run backwards curtailed by the MOBS rebalance. It's totally optional (the OBSE menu plug turns this into a toggle on/off command).

Additional patch by CorePC:
Standalone MOBS 1.2.1.
Updated to reflect the UOP fixes for names, weapon types, and other assorted tweaks. Readme for this is included in the file. This is provided for folks wanting MOBS as a standalone feature without the bulk of Fran's overhaul changes.
expanded notes: Some folks prefer to have their MOBS as a standalone tweak. This is for them. CorePC has updated this to reflect the latest UOP changes that I made. Thus you can run MOBS without Frans if you desire.

Additional notes: If you use MOBS as a stand alone mod abo2 has released an OMOD of everything you need for a complete install: ABOs OMOD Collection

This includes MOBS v1.2.1 and MOBS_Knights v1.0 from Patches for Frans 4_5b, and MOBS_DLCs v1.0.1 from Updated Official DLC MOBS. It has an install script that automatically selects which components to install and enforces correct load orders.

Additional Patches by dewshine:
Francesco's Optional Leveled Quests, SI only (for FCOM users)

Install in place of the normal Optional Leveled Quests if you want the Amber/Madness ore changes. Has no non-Shivering Isles alterations and will not conflict with OOO for FCOM users (others that want the SI changes but don't want the Optional Leveled Quests can use this too).
Updated 8-5-08. Overzealous editing caused me to delete too much before, this version preserves the few harder quests Fran made and keeps the leveled list changes for some treasure drops. If you were having crashes with the other version please redownload. (thanks to dev-akm for the heads up about this).
Requires Shivering Isles.

Expanded notes: this is not just for FCOM users. If you play Frans and don't want the full optional leveled quests but would like the SI overhaul then you can use this instead.

BSA archives.
I've gotten requests for Mirror sites for the Optional files. The only way to do this is to archive the BSA files outside the installer and provide them individually.

To that end I'm uploading Francesco's BSA archives, but take note that the Item BSA has been split into two parts. You will need both of them to use the new item.esm if you can't for some reason use the installer on PES.
I'll also put up the Creature BSA.

Included with these files is a tiny 'dummy' esp called Fra.esp. This is so that you can drop the files into your data folder and go without having to edit your Oblivion.ini. If you use both Creature and Items BSA archives you only need one of the dummy esp.

let me state this in bold: IF YOU USE THESE BSA FILES YOU MUST DOWNLOAD BOTH PARTS OF THE ITEM BSA. THERE IS ONE FOR THE MESHES/ICONS. THERE IS ANOTHER FOR TEXTURES. YOU WILL NEED THEM BOTH.

You can still get the bsa files from Frans installer on PES. This was added as an option for those folks that couldn't get the installer to work.

Additional Patches by Martigen & dewshine
~NEW~ Francesco's Optional Skill Based Damage & Durability
Based off the MMM Damage and Durability plug but tweaked slightly, this plug increases armor and weapon health by 100% and skill based weapon damage by 50%. It does not increase base damage like the MMM version. However, training up your skill should make more of a difference now. Don't load with the original plug, as they will not stack. If you want the increased base damage too, use the MMM version.
expanded notes: optional file. created for those who think the armor and weapons degrade too fast. use or not. up to you.

Additional Patches by dewshine and RoclorD
Polish Language Patch Comp plug
~ Updated: !Oblivion_PL-MobsFrans.esp
!Oblivion_PL-Frans.esp

requires the official !Oblivion_PL.esp to work. Updates creatures, NPCs, and weapons to work with Francesco's. MOBS version updated to include UOP fixes.
expanded notes: Made for those who use the POLISH language patch. If you are not Polish or do not use the Polish language version of the game then you don't need this.
Frans should be installed in English and this plug added to switch the names to Polish while maintaining Frans Stat tweaks.
