I always found it a pain to play a mage-character and start off with next to no basic spells, more often than not just adding gold to my inventory via console to get a decent novice/apprentice repitoire. If the player is an apprentice or higher in any school of magic the first time they enter an exterior cell, (the prison/sewers if you don't use any alternate start-mods) this plugin will add a batch of four/five spells to the player for each magic school where their skill is above 15. If the school isn't Destruction or Restoration, one of them will be a novice spell that affects the caster for purposes of training.

Installation:

Extract the archive to Oblivion/Data, and activate the plugin using the Oblivion launcher's "Data Files" option, or Oblivion Mod Manager.

How it Works:

If the player is in an exterior, this plugin checks whether the player is level 1 (To avoid affecting older characters) and has a skill of 25 or above in any magic school. You only need 25 or above in one school to be able to recieve batches of spells for any schools you have a skill of 15 or above in. All of the spells added are Vanilla Oblivion spells, which means this plugin can be uninstalled later without removing the spells, and that they will be balanced with any magic overhauls in place. Only one check is made after the player is in an interior. Even if the player is not level 1, or is not an Apprentice in any schools of magic, the plugin will essentially be disabled after this check. The batches of spells for Destruction and Restoration contain four spells, as the player starts with spells for said schools, while all others contain five. The batches for Destruction and Restoration contain all Apprentice spells, while the other batches will also contain a single novice spell.

This mod will conflict with any that delete the used spells for some reason, and any that start the player in an exterior cell, where they would never have time to select a class before triggering this check.
