Eh, to me this whole turn undead not being restoration thing is what makes the ritual birthsign special. It's the birthsign you choose so that your heavily armored paladin can turn undead without the conjuration skill. Plus since it's a lesser power, it is unaffected by the reduction to spell effectiveness due to wearing armor, thus, even your fully armored paladin can turn the highest level undead with ease
But Turn Undead isn't restoring anything. The school of restoration is for Spells that HEAL and RECOVER health and cure illsesses. THATS IT. it aught to be in Conjuration because that school is made for dealing with the dead and occult. so it makes sence that it'd be in Conjuration. Like, wtf man?
I know you posted this 8 years ago, but I still gotta say.
Because repelling undead is a traditionally "holy" thing, and needing to spec into conjuration to do it as a cleric feels wrong. I don't want to have to consort with demons to repel the undead. Also your view of restoration is NEEDING to ONLY be healing and recovering health and illnesses is very simple-minded, I think it has a lot more potential as a magical school than just healing.
This makes playing a Paladin/Healer much more fun. Combine this with another mod, which allows light to damage vampires, and suddenly my holy warrior is standing knee deep in the (un)dead! Cheers!

You should campaign for this change to be added to other mods that overhaul the spell system.
What's compatibility like with the various magic mods?
