    Ugh, can't believe I've gone this long without endorsing this, or commenting: this was one of the first mods I added when I started playing Oblivion (back in Nov. 2011), and it's been an essential "must have" from the start (I had a similar mod for Morrowind and loved it.) I haven't used the companion teleport yet (I tend to like to "go solo") but the Safe Zone has been a GODSEND in so many ways for my character (especially to store loot prior to getting a house) not to mention the ability to recall from anywhere...Fast Travel could just never replace that. Bug-wise I've yet to really encounter any. All in all a great mod, and I just wanted to say thanks!

    iff anyone else has that problem, make sure you also put the obse_loader.exe in your Oblivion directory. obse says that oyu dont need it in the install readme section, but you do for a lot of mods. do not run the obse_loader.exe if you are on steam.

    I have the Steam version of Oblivion + Knights + SI and I have installed OBSE as per instructions for the Steam version and Adv M & R complains that OBSE isn't installed. Help.

    Should anyone choose to rework this mod again [it's beyond my meager ability], an option WITHOUT Companion Teleport or at least limited to 'follow mod on' NPC's only would be a nice idea since no matter how often I promise not to, the world's most annoying characters always end up visiting a nice camping site up in the mountains.... tends to be an uber cheat. 'Promoted to Captain of the Anvil Guard? Not in my game buddy' hehe

    Hi folks. I no longer have Oblivion available since my computer crashed a few months ago.

    I'd be happy to try to help with advice if anyone wants to adopt this mod. It wasn't mine to start with, I altered Smoke's mod because I found it useful but limited.

    Right now the two main bugs I know of are:
    1. DON'T cast "Go to Safe Zone" while in the Safe Zone. That moves the 'return' marker into the Safe Zone making it impossible to leave it except with some other form of teleportation. The best cure is to have the spell removed as you enter the zone, I think. I'm not sure if you can remove it while the original script is executing.

    2. Sometimes the names of the locations will not appear when you have just loaded a game. If I remember correctly, they only get loaded when you cast Advanced Mark or Advanced Recall (I don't remember which). If you cast the other first after loading a game you'll get all generic names. If you cancel the cast and do the other (and probably cancel again after the existing names appear), you won't encounter this bug again until you reload the game again.

    I gave up on the updater and now have the keys re-named each time you cast Advanced Recall or Advanced Mark unless it has already been done once since it was last saved.

    I think that touching it with Bash to make it a .8 instead of 1.0 build broke my activator updater. As soon as you make a mark you'll have names for everything again. I get on the plane in less than 24 hours so I don't have time to fix it anymore. It does seem to be working better than .1 and .2 other than the updater.

    Version 0.3 is up. Timing issues with the menus are improved. I've tested it without SI and it works fine. At least no SI as far as not having DLCShiveringIsles.esp loaded. I also made sure that not having OBSE loaded wouldn't blow anything up, though I do nag you and you can't Mark nor Recall with my version.

    This will be my last update for a while, I'm going to be away from my computer for about a month.

    There's a bug in the 0.2 version in the teleport companion script. You may have to cast it twice to get it to function and the next recall may take you there w/o selecting. I need to add a Set Button to -1 at the top of one block to fix it.


    Just to clarify, the immediate transporting without first showing the menu was occurring with the standard Recall spell, not with the companion transport. The bug appears only occasionally, as I usually do get the menu first. The one time I used companion transport it worked normally.

    I really like your modifications so far and look forward to your final version.

    I haven't done the quick fix because I'm in mid upgrade to release one that will work with and without SI and with and without OBSE. The new OBSE version will allow you to enter custom text for each mark (stored in the names of some keys at the moment). Hopefully I'll finish my ambitious upgrade before I head out of the country (and away from my computer) for a month.
