One handed weapons on back v1.1

-by Skycaptain

!!!!!!!REQUIRES OBSE LOADER!!!!!!!!

(Anything from version 12 onwards should work, but it´s recommended to always use the latest version)

Get Obse (Oblivion Script Extender) from here: http://obse.silverlock.org/

----------------------
What´s this mod about?
----------------------

This mod allows you to automatically sheath ANY onehanded melee weapon on your back. Yes, any of those from mods as well.

If you have a shield equipped, it will disappear from your hand as well, but it will show "equipped" in your inventory.

In other words, if you have a shield equipped when you draw the weapon again, your shield will equip automatically in your left hand. :)

* VERSION 1.1 UPDATE: *
* * * * * * * * * * * *

The weapons now get sheathed differently according to their reach. In other words, daggers go on your belt, while longswords go on your back.

The reach value is selected to support reach values defined by MOBS weapon rebalance, found in mods like OOO or Frans.

In these mods, small maces and short swords also should equip on your belt as well, for example.

If you are not using a mod with MOBS, don´t worry; your daggers and short swords will still go on your belt etc, the difference is that without MOBS

there are less differencies in weapon reaches, and thus longswords are many maces/axes all have the same reach, and thus most of them will be sheathed on

your back.

Would you like to set the reach limit differently? See below. :)

-------------------------
Any things I should know?
-------------------------

Oblivion tries to mess up with this mod when you load save games, but I have set auto-reset features in place, that should keep everything working

correctly automatically - you may notice some of these automatics by seeing your character sheathing and unsheathing the weapon once when you load a save.

This doesn´t happen every time, and when it happens you know now it´s normal and keeps everything nice and clean.

*** EXCEPTION!!!!! ***
***************

If you unsheath the weapon on your back, and load the SAME SAVE GAME YOU STARTED TO USE THIS FROM, the weapon will appear incorrectly.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This applies to ONLY this save game.

This is fixed by quitting and loading that save again. In other words, just create a new save after starting to use this mod

- BUT first wait 10 seconds, so that the scripts initialize. ;)

* VERSION 1.1 UPDATE: *
* * * * * * * * * * * *

If you are unhappy with the reach setting, simply modify it via console. The default setting is 0.85.

For example, if you are not using MOBS, and want to set the lowest reach of a weapon qualified to equip on back to same as Steel Long Sword,

just set this value to 1.0.

Type in the console, without the quotes:

"set SkycaptainsSwordOnBack.reachLimit to 1.0"

Or, if you want to sheath ANY one handed weapon on back, without reach limitations, set that variable to 0.

Or, if you suddenly want ALL one handed weapons to sheath on your hip, like in unmodded Oblivion, you can temporarily set it to a very high number, like 100.

Easy, isn´t it? :)

-------------
Installation:
-------------

Place the "One handed weapons on back 1_1.esp" to your "Oblivion\Data" folder.

If you were using a previous version of this mod, delete it.

Activate the esp file either using Oblivion Mod Manager or Wrye Bash, or go to "Data files" section in you Oblivion launcher and check the box next to the

"One handed weapons on back.esp 1_1" file.

LOAD ORDER DOES NOT MATTER.

THERE ARE NO CONFLICTS WITH ANY MOD.

REMEMBER TO LAUNCH OBLIVION WITH OBSE LOADER! ;)
------------------------------------------------

Have fun! :)
