I'm not sure if this mod works well, because after reaching lvl 3, my attributes did not increase at all. Strength, agility, intelligence, speed etc. are at the same level as at the beginning. Why is this happening?
I may just not understand how the mod works but when I increase a skill my level up bar is not increasing so I am always level 1. Is this how it is supposed to be?
HI, this mod doesn't seem to be working with the Oblivion script extender. Whenever i boot up Oblivion with OBSE installed, it gives me the error message: "RealisticLeveling.ini could not be found or is not correctly configured. Please use OBMM to install Realistic Leveling correctly". Is there any fix for this, other than disabling OBSE?
I got the same error with MO2. The RealisticLevel.ini file is place in the correct spot, but the default file does not have values set in 3 spots. You need to edit the file to set values there.
On the right of MO2, click on the Data tab and find RealisticLeveling.ini. Right click-> Open to open it in Notepad. Then find the following 3 lines at different spots in the file:
set aaRealisticLeveling.mode to <mode>; default = 3
set aaRealisticLeveling.levelMax to <levelMax>; default = 65
So even with manually installing, installing with vortex and changing the values both times I still get the message '"RealisticLeveling.ini could not be found or is not correctly configured''. I find this both weird and frustrating considering this is the second build that I have created and it worked perfectly fine in the first build. Any ideas to fix this would be appreciated.
for some reason this mod causes my game to crash only when leveling certain skills. can anyone at all tell me why that is? it seems to be sneak and marksman. the second i gain a level in either my game crashes. i gained levels in damn near everything else and nothing bad happened at all
This has to be the worst mod description page in all of Nexus, literally a wall of text painted with liquid autism. Leaving this page blank would have been an upgrade.
Great mod tho, if you manage to figure it out on your own.
It is written from the perspective of the author who knows EXACTLY what he is talking about and what each number does. But it is not the best description for us on the outside.
For me I love the slowleveling till about level 3. And then I take a pee and gain a level. I really wish I understood the numbers better for a nice SLOW leveling that is consistant, but from my experience it a reverse bell curve...slow at the ends and fast in the middle.
I kind of can't level up any attribute. When I progress in skills and get level up attributes are the same from the start to the end (I reached 14 level.) What's wrong with it? I installed all Unofficial Oblivion Patches (for DLC too), Balanced Creatures Stats (DLC patch also), Mercantile Experience Fixed and Alt Tab fix.
I'm having a problem relative to skill/attribute progression: i'm playing as an Imperial with a custom class with a major skill for every attribute, but i can't seem to reach the "max level" (i set it up at 70). after reaching 100 with every skill, my attributes are all over the place (strength is 111, willpower is 89, etc.) and i simply have no way to reach level 70, finding myself at level 67 with all skills capped and attributes uncapped. Does anyone know what's the deal with this?

set aaRealisticLeveling.mode to <mode>; default = 3
set aaRealisticLeveling.levelMax to <levelMax>; default = 65
setGS iTrainingSkills <iTrainingSkills>; default = 5
Replace the < > part on each of those lines with a value. Use the default if you like or set it to whatever you want. I.e.:
set aaRealisticLeveling.mode to 3; default = 3
set aaRealisticLeveling.levelMax to 65; default = 65
setGS iTrainingSkills 5; default = 5
Save the file, and it should work now.
The manual configurations are only necessary if NOT installing with OBMM.
