Description: This mod adds a shadow to all the stock hoods in the game. The default hoods do not cast any shadow and don't quite look as sinister or realistic so I wanted to create some mood for the dark brotherhood characters mainly.

Limitations: Any beast race with a large nose won't look good using this mod, their nose or jaw will clip through the shadow plane I made. The way it works is I added a transparent polygon to the edge of the hood. Someone could maybe move it out further or make it more like a bubble shape and add support for Kajhiit and Argonians, but it would be at the expense of the mod looking good on humans.

Also it doesn't work with any custom hood or an esp that links to new meshes or textures, such as Slof's robes. I'm sure Slof's robes could be updated to take advantage of my shadow technique though, its just that each model and texture has to be changed to support it.

Installation: unzip everything to your Oblivion/Data folder.

Removal: Use Oblivion Mod remover or manually delete the hoods and meshes I added in this zip file.

SDK: If you want to include this mod with other mods or add shadows to other hoods using my texture/technique, please give me credit in your mod with my web site listed. www.4drulers.com

Support: Try to use my forums at forum.4drulers.com, I get instant email notification there. Or PM madmole at Bethesda's forums. If all that fails, email me: [email protected]

Credits: Thanks to Theo for his amazing max plugins, Scanti for his conformulator, and thanks to the Oblivion community for helping me with the whole egm stuff in general. Thanks to Floydian for testing. This mod started out a quickly half hour mod, and turned into a night mare to properly support all the hoods and egm files for wide headed characters. Thanks for waiting everyone, and the continued interest!

Enjoy!
