About this mod

This mod simply replaces all NON-COMBAT two-handed weapon animations with the one-handed versions. This works in first and third person. It also works in the menu screen. It works when turning, running, walking or whatever (the only time it doesn\'t work is when sneaking, a) because I actually prefer the two-handed weapon sneaking animation

Permissions and credits
This mod simply replaces all NON-COMBAT two-handed weapon animations
with the one-handed versions.

This works in first and third person. It also works in the menu screen. It works when turning, running, walking or whatever (the only time it doesn't work is when sneaking, a) because I actually prefer the two-handed weapon sneaking animation, and b) because I couldn't find the proper mesh to replace it with, LOL).

Please note, when you have a two-handed weapon and are holding it with one hand and a shield or torch is equipped, you will NOT see that shield or torch --- this is EXACTLY how it works with the default Bethesda animations as well. This makes sense because you'd still need your other hand to bring it up and block.

Note: this mod does not effect staffs (or even staves!).

Installation
----------
Install into:

data/meshes/characters/_1stperson

and

data/meshes/characters/_male

No .esp file necessary. No archiveinvalidation entries necessary.

Conflicts?
----------
This mod would not work with any mod that changes some of the non-combat animations from the data/meshes/characters/_1stperson or _male directory. You'd know if there was a conflict when installing this mod, because Windows would ask you if you wanted to replace the old files. If that happens, say NO and check to see what other mod is using these files. If it's one you can't do away with then I advise not installing this mod, as it is simply an aesthetic enhancement.

All that said, I don't know of any mods that do what this one does, and if they do, they're very likely the same mod with a different name, LOL.

Bugs?
----------
I've tested this with male and female characters. I've tested it with blades and blunts. I've tested it with default Bethesda weapons and custom weapons. I've cast spells, I've run and walked and turned in both first and third person. No problems encountered whatsoever. In fact, I was simply amazed at how smooth the transitions were --- the character unsheaths the weapon from her back, holds it in two hands for just a split second, then reverts to holding it with one hand only. When blocking or swinging, she goes back to two hands and so forth. It all seems very natural to me.

Thanks to....

Betheda Softworks, as all the animations used are theirs alone.
